I,ve gone to the dark side,i,ve become the owner of a part fibreglass, timber and aluminium Royale caravan. It was built in england in 1969, sold to its first owners,Bert and Edna Silvers in 1970, who took it over to Brussels, then through Germany,Austria,Italy,Greese,Turkey,Iran,Afgan,India,Penang,Kuala Lumpur and then by ship to Freemantle. Total of 10962 miles in 6 months. They then drove around Australia a few times. i have their hand written record of their trip. The caravan looks like the Royale Tour Ranger in Classic caravans.http://i298.photobucket.com/albums/mm259/truckdaddy1/royalecaravan002.jpg thanks for reading my rambling. tucky

Hi Cobber, No this is not a photo of my van, my van is sky blue and white and the interior is like knew, but no hot water or shower,it has a door each side of the van so i will put a shower cubical outside of the RH door. The independant suspension has seen better days so i will be fitting a new dropped beam axle with electric brakes and then i will change the exterior colour. yep ......I had the pleasure of viewing this one in the flesh at York WA several weeks ago..... prettiest pommy van I've seen ......and with tucky & Noelene's touch ....just supurb I did however hear a rumour that tucky may soon be residing in the pommy van, ......apparently a family member wasn't impressed with the "stardust" that settled on her front lawn

Nice one Tucky.
I assume it was repainted to match the towcar, but I think I prefer the blue.
By the way, If I was you I would put the Shower on the inside of the right hand door, not the outside!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Leigh.
