Hi Col and Kris So..... What is left of the original teardrop??? The door knob You guys are doin a great job there. Love the gaurds. "K" mudflaps. Ok then where does Col get the "C" Hows about signature wooden coat hangers with "C" branded into 'em. What sort of hing holds the rear hatch?? Looks like a Piano hinge. The Benroy plans refer to a "Hurricane Hinge" I suppose this is yankee speil but the hinge appears to be the same as that used on aluminium van windows or the same as those used on "Flexiglass and challenge ute canopies" They appear as they would be a lot more waterproof than a conventional hinge.... Anyway mate thats enough goofing off ... now get back to work. Hope to throw a progress report on my teardrop efforts shortly. Slowly slowly progress is being made. $300 worth of CD Ply today. Cheers big ears Reddo

Col and Kris, Congratulations on a top class job. Your enthusiasm and skill and obvious ability to plan the job so that it all comes together quickly ( “51 Special” scripts made up...stainless steel ice chest....replated hinges..etc, etc) and keep us all informed of your progress at the same time is to be admired (& envied), when do you eat and sleep?. Can’t wait to see it in the flesh.
Cobber.

Awesome resto Col and Kris,
Its amazing how everyone has so many different ideas. It really is looking fantastic. Can't wait to see it at Coledale.
Just a thought I really like the tap set-up... You could have a group of Teardrop Trailer worshippers lining up at your door to wash their feet in the holly water. Well there is a religious effer.... errr ethergy... Is that how you spell it? of Mary on the door ;D
Cheers
Greg

Hi Ya there Kaybees. I'm stuck for words. ( Not like me eh ) I will use just one to describe the "51 Special" and that is...... "COOL" Extra Rebuilds/upgrades become an obssession after the first 100 hours A far cry from the ebay bargain you dragged home a few months ago. Keep at it you two. ya doin great. Other news Went to cessnock swap this weekend got a lead on 2 old vans. went and checked out an old bondy today. In good condition with no rot ,m still has ice chest and the usual goodies one boken window. no springs, wheels or axle. chassis is in good condition Stored in the back of a barn on top of a clay embankment about 5 ft from the ground to the floor. Mine for the taking just gotta figure out how to get it down of the "Earth shelf" in the back of the barn. Might just tie a rope to it and drive off out of the barn. Might try snigging it out and propping it up on 44s until i can get an axle under her....... Fun and games..... luv it. Gotta go.... once again congrats on a great job. Oh!!!.. and dont forget to put a floor in it before ya go touring Reddo

Hi Kris & Col, Just been admiring your reno. Looks fantastic. Can't wait to see the finished outside paint job. Noticed the edge trim around the kitchen bench. Can you advise me where to get this. We've got two tables in our van that I would like to add chrome edging.
Regards, Ann

Col mate, In that “crummy shot of the water tank” you have a beautiful shot of a chrome plated window stay Do you have a readily available inexhaustible economic supply of those in all shapes and sizes? I need six straight ones, about seven inches long with thumb screws, not wing nuts, preferable “made in England” ;D. Any help...or suggestions, will be gratefully received (don’t tell me to look in the yellow pages, done that). Cobber.
