Does anyone know what van builders used ally windows made by L.O.BAKER OF BRISBANE. This is the only reference I have so far as to determining the make of my van. No rego papers, no serial # (yet),no markings anywhere that I have found. I had some photos posted earlier with a few suggestions but nothing definate yet. Thanks for those who helped last time.

Hey there!
I've just joined this forum and found your thread. Guess what?! I'm in the process of restoring a late 50's/early 60's van and the only clue I have is the window manufacturer - LO Baker (Brisbane)!!! I looked back through the forum and found pictures of your van that your friend listed and I've little doubt its the same manufacturer - same porthole, fixtures etc. Mine has a slightly more rounded profile and the alloy sheet is 100% flat - I'm guessing it probably makes it a little earlier.
The only other clue I have is three rivet holes in the front cowl above the window - I'm assuming these probably took a nameplate, probably about 30cms long.
I've pretty much stripped the van and have found no other ciue as to its providence.
Good luck with your restoration and do let me know if you find any other clues (mine is coming up a treat!).
Cheers, A
