Hi everyone - we wanted to say 'hello' and introduce ourselves. We have just bought the 'grey' sun liner from Brisbane and brought her home to the ACT. She needs a lot more work than the advertisement suggested - we need to replace the silicone around the windows with window rubber and reline and check everything. However, 'Scooby-Doo' towed like a dream and we are looking forward to our project! Looking forward to learning heaps in this journey - we can't make the nationals this year, so the goal is a finished van for 2015!

Hi Claire and Ruth, Glad to see you made it home. It was nice to meet you on the way home the other afternoon. You will find lots of help from people on this forum. Looking forward to more pics. Regards James and Bel.

thanks James - it was nice to stop for a few minutes and laugh with you during a wee stressful moment. 34 degrees was not so much fun.
Scooby is home and safe, the door is not too badly damaged and we are still fully in love with our new little sun liner. maybe WE can be the next Bing Lee pinup!!! big shoes to fill however!

Welcome Ladies,
I've been Sunlinering for years and still love it. Its a lot of work ahead of you but if you stick at it you'll reap the rewards.
Good luck and keep us posted on the progress.
Billy

thanks Billy! Had the door taken away for fibreglass repairs this arvo (new hinge points where it ripped off) and had my very own small win courtesy of being home from work early and the mower not starting! Now bear in mind, I'm not technically minded. However, the rusty bolt holding the gas bottle on has been unstuck and taken off! Not bad for a girl who has touched a tool since her dad taught her to change a tyre on her first car (which was a 1972 fiat 500 bambina by the way) - I have an affinity for old round things, which is the way I'm headed! Next stop - buying wire brushes and getting the rust off the chassis!!!

Hi Claire and Ruth Your little scooby doo is just awesome, yes it looks like we both have a lot of work in front of us. But I know it will be worth it.

Hi there I too am a relatively new Sunliner owner (August last year). I'm enjoying reading everyone's posts about their restoration projects and look forward to seeing pics of when you are up and running. I am hoping some of you have had some luck with replacing windows, either side windows or the sealed perspex ones at the front and if so, whether you could pass on details of where you got them. Happy to help out too with anything I discover along this very exciting path. cheers Gabby
