My retired fathers van in shed since mid to late 60's. Many good memories here, bought in Bris when I was just born. Helping him ID and arrange sale to a lover of vintage vans. Any help with ID or good stories? Photos to post when I can sort ithis password stuff out. Thanks
Kelvin

Hi Kelvin, what is the connection between Sunshine and Sunstate? Sunshine Caravans were built at Upper Mt Gravatt in Brisbane from about 1958 till about 1964. I don't know of the Sunstate brand. I have a 10ft Sunshine that i restored in 2011. There are only 3 other Sunshine Caravans that we know of that still exist. Mine came with a metal badge under the rear window that has the Sunshine name and a body number on it. Mine was built around 1962 , Cheers Jim.

Hi Kelvin, What a lovely looking little van. Following is the link to the Sunshine Caravans thread that we have in the Down History Lane section. It shows an old advert for Sunshine Vans as well as an example of the metal badge and some photos of other Sunshine Caravans. vintagecaravans.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=chat&action=display&thread=4189As Jim mentioned, we don't know of very many Sunshine Caravans around. His van is a great example of just how wonderful the Sunshine vans are. I'm not sure whereabouts you and your father are situated? I am up on the Sunshine Coast. Depending on where you are, I may be able to come over and have a look at the van and have a chat with you re: value etc. Unfortunately we are not supposed to discuss prices on the open forum. I have sent you a personal message, so when you log on next, look at the top of the page and written in blue will be the number of messages you have received. Click on the blue writing to to open the message. Regards Diane
