As a Slim Dusty fan from way back I was particularly happy to supply "The Swamp Van" as a prop in the video by Luke O'Shea about Slim's wife and partner Joy McKean. The song "Lady of the Land" will take a lot of beating at next years Tamworth "Heritage Song of the Year " awards (I reckon ) ..... that will make it Luke's second award in that category, this year he won it for "The Drovers Wife " The video is on YouTube and you can SEE THE VIDEO HERECobber.

H Cobber,
Great clip about one of our greatest female musos.
I guess I'm lucky to have seen Slim & Joy when I was about 7 in Moss Vale at the theatre ( 1954), then a few other times as I grew up. But the greatest show I remember of theirs was at Lismore workies, not sure of year but it was the last show Slim did up here. Had most of the family performing, & from memory Joy's sister performed, along with their daughter & son.
Something to rember for the rest of my life.
Thanks for posting that link
