Hi Archie, That will really depend on how you have the van set up i.e. wheels, tyres, tow bar, correct riding angle, power of car, how the content of the van are stored within the van, shape of van, sway bars or not, dolly wheel or not, how heavy the van is, what the roads are like etc etc. But to give you an example my little bondwood 10ft 4inch van can tow at 120km on the freeway without any trouble if required, but I don't normally push it that fast. When going down a hill one day. i've found that it starts to have a slight wobble at 125km. Regards Di

Isit on about 90kph happily with Abby and Penny butthat's more to do with Abby's motor than anything else, When my Dad went to pick her up for me he was easily doing the speed limit on wet roads with Penny on the back of a modern 4wD.

I've had my Gypsy up to 110kph for a "sway test" as I watched my fuel gauge drop. You might get there faster, but at what cost to your pocket I usually cruise at 80-90kpm and take in the scenery ;D

My old Bessie (59 home built) who is basically a rectangle with rounded corners seem to be happy from 80 to 85km/h in normal conditions but in strong winds she prefers 75km/h. I think she was a dancer in her previous life as she just loves to dance her way down the road and gets a bit carried away over 90km/h.
