[Having driven past this van at a distance for ages, I couldn't identify it from it's shape and the porthole. Finally on the weekend there was somebody around, so I called in and asked if I could have a squiz and take some photos. Here is what I found: So there it is - another Jennison Pathfinder. Sadly I think the poor old girl is past redemption - broken windows, weather damage, and the inside has been trashed. Not much info from the owners - apparently it was a local van, was towed to its resting place years ago, lived in by a single guy for some time, then ignored. The only decent thing inside is the round-edged wardrobe inside the door. The A frame has had "reinforcement" inexpertly welded (stuck on) in places. Could not find any identifying chassis numbers, or the like. Any hints on where to look? Cheers. Paul ps sorry. had to reload pics from p-bucket

Looks like the same model as the one that did the European tour in 1958.... can't be the same van because that one was left in the UK ....... I think Cobber.

What a waste! 16 footer by the looks. Roof hatch is gone!! Same 3 groove moulding as my 53....might be a little earlier than the euro trip 58 model Cobbs, the euro one does not have the 3 groove moulding by the looks. May well have a shower in the cupboard being a 16 footer with porthole Where is it located pmandlm, would they be interested in selling any bits and pieces off it do you think?? jenno

Returned to the scene last weekend to see if it was feasible to remove the van so that forumites, who may have wanted parts, had access. Yes it did have a shower. But the van has been so thoroughly trashed, I gave up any idea of trying to remove it - it was simply not worth the effort. I removed the portholes (the one in the shower had been the opening type - but of course the opening part was missing), and the sink. And that was all that was worth removing - even its water tank had disappeared (apparently it's now gracing a "mate's" trailer). The cabinetry was trashed, no stove or icebox, and where the hatch had been was covered with flat gal iron sheet. However, I do have the Jennison Pathfinder badges (as seen above). So if you want them, send me a pm. Paul
