After more than 3 years of "talking", I'm thrilled to say that Aussietankers 1956 Don, now has a new home in Vic.
With the permission and approval of A/T, I will shortly edit and précis his postings, so that newer Forum members will be able to read and see the history behind this rare Don.
Lots of photos to come asap.

G'day Max, For those of us who watched the long and detailed restoration of this caravan we know no expense was spared in returning it to it's former glory. It is great to hear that it will now be on the road again .... look forward to seeing your updating of the thread Max and seeing it in the flesh Cobber.

Hi all, A couple of weekends ago, I had the privilege of visiting Winterwood to see the Don 150 he bought from Aussietanker. As a person who has taken an interest in the history of Don caravans, it was a pretty exciting day for me, because as far as we are aware, only a very small number (maybe a handful) of Don 150's were built, and Winterwood's van is the only one that we know is still in existence. That makes it a rare van (although perhaps there are another one or two stashed away in sheds somewhere). I took a few photos and thought that some of you would be interested to see them. I'll commence with Winterwood standing with his new pride and joy: And a few smaller details... The bath under one of the rear beds: The radio with battery (BAT) and aerial (A) sockets: One of the rear bedside lamps: The bookshelf beside the door: Serial number plate: Original A-frame and jockey wheel with modern hitch added over the top: Given the serial number (no 1050) and the colour scheme, I am now very close to certain that this van was the one displayed at the 1956 Caravan Show in Melbourne. That adds to the provenance of the van, and makes it that little bit more special. Winterwood will probably add some comments about these photos. Don Ricardo
