Hi there - I'm new to the forum and hopefully posting in the correct area. I have just purchased a Globe Trotter Gold Coaster and it looks to be an early 60's model from what I have seen in photographs. It is aluminum has a Patented badge no. 15869 and the only number I can find on the coupling is G283 - not sure if this is the chassis number? I live in Canberra and was after a small old van to convert into a cubby house for my little girl. After some research, mostly on your forum I have a new appreciation for this little van and feel it might not be best suited to sitting in the backyard for 4 year olds to have their way with I now feel it deserves a little more respect! It is in need of some love and attention but can be towed. I'm thinking about listing it on Gumtree or Ebay but wanted to give your forum members an opportunity first. And also wanted to provide you with the information I have for your database. I have taken a few photo's and can post these also if people are interested. Regards Suzie

oh my yes, miss mollikins I was SUPPOSED to be keeping a weather eye out for a strapping great tandem Roadmaster or similar, but as you know, I'd been harbouring notions of a wee early 60s widget. add to that my abiding admiration for the distinctive shape of south australian vans, and hey presto! couldnt resist. she needs a bit of work, but we're up for it. nothing outside our skill set, just lotsa elbow grease and such. she'll be here in a couple days
