Good morning All Many of you that have old or original fridges will know how hard it is to find the proper old seals for your "round shouldered" darling. I've found a place in the US that does the old different seals for fridges from the 1930s to 1960s for about $4.50 a foot. The name of the company is Antique Appliances (www.antiqueappliances.com) - they restore all kinds of stoves etc, but the fridge parts can be found here: store.antiqueappliances.com/Door-Gaskets_c_8.htmlJust as a point of reference, our Morphy Astral (bar fridge size) uses the GRG1051. Both James and Austin are very nice and if you are unsure you can cut a sliver of your old gasket and email and picture and they can recommend which is best. Cheers Seeshell

Hi Cobber I did try some local suppliers for fridge seals - most deal with fridges from the last 30-40 years. None had the "lower case e" shape seals of the old fridges (the tail of the e slides down inside the doorframe and is retained by a bar and screws and the round part of the e flaps over and covers this). Some of the round shouldered fridges have a more elaborate seal profile (which I could find here on one of the sites you listed), but it doesn't match the Morphy Astrals and other types like the Kelvinators. I like to support local industry where I can. But in this instance I couldn't find what I was looking for and had to go abroad. Cheers! Carley

I ordered a freezer seal from them, it arrived in a strip, when I hired the local guy to cut & weld it, he bugged it up. They made up another, finished this time, no charge & it fitted perfectly. Not many obliging firms like them about.
