Hi everyone,I'm new on here & so happy I found this awesome forum!!! I've been searching for a while now,for a 1950/60s van, preferably a bondwood.I I'm on the Gold Coast & willing drive(within reason).Happy to travel nsw but all these vans seem to be in Adelaide or Victoria!!!I missed out on a little beauty on e bay last week,by $50 ...soooo upset!!! Anyway thought I'd just drop in & say hi & keep my nose to the ground.Ive just got my eh holden on the road after 9 years of slowly doing the old gal up,& now keen for a little van of my own ;D....eBay & gumtree are becoming my obsession, lol.fingers crossed the perfect van will come along soon!looking forward to reading all these fab threads & posts & the joy of learning all things vintage vans!!! Chow for now, from Kym

Hi Kym, I'm also a desperate Queenslander looking for a vv to call my own. I'm new to the forum also but have been on the lookout for a van for what seems like an eternity! I need something small, requiring no structural repair and within my meagre budget....yes I am asking for the impossible! Welcome, and best of luck in your search. Xka

When I was searching, they ALL seemed to be in QLD (I'm Vic). Be patient & something will come along. The problem with bondwood is, if left outside in the elements, they deteriorate quickly. Therefore they are not as abundant as aluminium or fibreglass. Good luck with your search, I love my little GlobeTrotter bondwood which I tow with a 1963 EJ Holden

If I ever decide to part with it Max, you'll be the first to know. Despite the small & uncomfortable bedding arrangement, it was very well designed for it's time. There is far more storage than a similar age van I have.

Thanks gidgetgal, I did view Trev's van....it was done to perfection. Not sure if it sold as the reserve wasn't met but unfortunately my budget is a little smaller than that which was required for the 10 ft'er ....did I mention I was asking the impossible??!! SGTL I have been watching that van on ebay also but I'm after something around the 10/11 ft. I noticed it was relisted after no bidding action over the week end and I'm sure it will go to a lucky bidder who can do a little water damage repair....that person is not me sadly. xka
