Hi Bob and Jacqui, This cutie is not far from me...have had my eye on it for a while now but as I know NOTHING about what to look for when purchasing a VV I have been putting off contacting trevandjulie. I have no idea!! From what you're saying it sounds as if there really is nothing else to do other than stock up the esky and drive away! xka

G'day Kerivan, I think that you would be hard pressed to find a better restored van than this one. Trev is a builder by trade and takes a lot of pride in his work. There are a lot of vans for sale out there but to have one so close to home is a huge bonus. The cost involved in buying a van interstate and getting it home can be expensive. To answer your question ,yes it is a fill up the esky and go on holiday. Cheers Bob and Jacqui

Hi Kerivan, I'd like to second Bob and Jacquis comments. This is indeed a well restored van . Trev is a tradesman and doesn't do things by halves or cut corners. I feel it is a great entry level unit into the increasingly popular world of vintage caravanning. These smaller vans seem to be enjoying high demand atm...and feel sure this van would easily resell if it didn't meet your exact needs.
As Bob says, not to have to purchase from interstate is a huge bonus.
Cheers , Sutcac

I continually shake my head that people looking for a good deal on a restored van simply can't recognise a good buy when it's in front of them. Was watching a similar sized van on ebay go for over $8000 in a bidding frenzy, and it was nowhere near as good-looking as this one.
Bob, can you tell me if the splashback over that sink is vinyl and is just glued onto the wall? looks like a good idea I'd like to copy if it is. Also, is that a fold-out table under the front seat cushions? PM me please.
Ray

I can tell you first hand, Ray, yes it is a vinyl splashback and by all accounts it doesn't have a fold out table under the front seat cushions. Had an inspection this afternoon and met possibly the loveliest most down to earth couple in a long long time. So honest and helpful. Thanks to Bob and jacqui and sutcac for giving me the nudge to go take a look, it was well worth it. xka

What about the calendar That would look great in my office Great looking van I would have a crack at it myself, but I am six months off making another purchase. To all those out there looking, having a van close to you can save a huge amount of time and energy. I drove to Melbourne a few years back to look at the "right van"...only to collect one from Reddo on the Sunshine Coast. This would look great behind a one owner 1975 VW Kombi, five seater, fitted bed and worked engine... ;D A really nice pair. A real nice looking van HALPS

Ha! Got me there Ray, shot my mouth off too soon....I must admit I didn't even notice the hinges when I looked at the van and when I asked Trev about the seat near the door being shorter and how it would affect it when being used as a bed he said he shortened it to make more room near the very narrow door and that it didn't affect the support of the mattress at that end. Didn't mention that it folded out but that does make perfect sense if it does. xka
