Circumstances have prevailed that sadly I find I will not be in a position to do up the stardust for some time to come and rather than let it sit and waste away have decided to sell it to someone who has the time and $$$ to get it done up and on the road where it belongs. If I can sell it to someone from our "VV clan" they can have it for what it owes me.....$11,000ono If it goes to evilbay the price will be a bit more Since buying it I have fitted it with new axle, shackles and bushes and electric brakes. Also fitted, a brand new draw bar as well. It has 4 new tyres and hubcaps. From a roadworthy perspective it's 100% percent ready to roll! Boblor checked it out fully when I bought it and gave it the thumbs up back then. More recently he looked it over again just last week when he was staying with us. I am sure he would be happy to confirm this with anyone who PMs or phones him. I also still have a scan copy of his original report that he gave me from his first inspection. The interior is basically original although the upper bunk has been removed(it's stored in my shed). Fridge works well. There are no floorcoverings. It needs a water tank and appropriate plumbing to the sink and as for anything else, I can read it off Boblors report to anyone interested. THESE 21 FOOTERS ARE VERY RARE and don't come up often so PM me if you think it's what you are looking for Jenno

Doesn't have one Reddo although I too have seen one with both shower and toilet fitted. That was to be part of the plan when I bought it in the hope of getting my wife interested in VVing , you know....I could bore people to death talking about the "outside" and she could have all the mod cons on the inside Didn't work out though, unfortunately she decided it's just not her thing. Each to our own .......no different to my only participation in my daughter and wifes horse riding being the collection and stacking what goes in the front end and disposing of what comes out the other end ;D ;D jenno

Hey Jeff Sorry to hear things haven't worked out for you with the restoration of the Stardust. Perhaps a list of some of the improvements you have made will help others to see the potential of this van. What has been done to the running gear, chassis, lighting? I know you have told us about this .... but again is worthwhile. What has been done inside regarding the floor, cupboards, kitchen, bedroom, lounge, lighting ? All good information for prospective purchasers. ;D All the best with the sale Cheers Atog

Gday Atog, I didn't do anything more than what I detailed in the first thread. I concentrated on getting it totally roadworthy with the new axle, elec brakes, shackles, tyres, drawbar etc. The previous owner had new stainless steel roof hatch and door hinges made and re-furbed the 240V. For some reason, the 2 small windows beside the d/bunk have been removed and replaced with perspex Linpet up in QLD has 2 windows to suit it in her garage which she has kindly offered for it. The idea was for the wife to work out her plan for the inside. Fridge is a beauty and as can be seen from the photos it has new cupboard doors. The double bed is nth/sth up the back with moulded side drawers and cupboard. It was checked out by another very knowledgeable olympic riviera owner and friend of boblors. He thought the price and conditition were good and the only reason he did not buy it was that he and his wife had a definite layout plan they wanted to do as the family travelled and worked most of the year in their riviera (believe me that was cramped!) ....specifically they wanted to convert the double bunk to a triple bunk for their three young kids. Because the d/bunk is located above the wheel arch there was just not quite enough room/height to achieve that. So they are back to the drawing board re their next van purchase and I did not make a sale!
