Hi All,
Just got home from a very wet Yamba run...As always lots of cars of most types, hot rods , Customs & stockers.
Also a bunch of vintage vans turned up as usual.
Most of the vans have been pictured here before, but there was one rebuilt sunliner I dont remember seeing before, on a new chassis ( I believe), & quite well done.
A few interesting cars, & pix of them.
Gadgetgalkath"s 62 galaxie, being cleaned. Smut 57's Campbell bondy in background, plus Sunliner
One for Kaybee, a 42 Ford Woodie
An FJ that Cobber may enjoy
Andrew (Smut57) was driving his parents recent purchase, a real nice 34 Chev tudor, running Commodore V6 etc
This Commer truck drew people in. Had a 502 cubic inch Chev crate engine, & a gaziullion bucks worth of running gear ( it seemed)
Lots of 32 Fords as usual. These are a few of the ones I enjoyed.
37 Chev USA bodied coupes appeal to me
Likewise this one, (42 Plymouth???) thats for sale in Grafton Northern NSW
This was the Sunliner I mentioned.
Nice 52 Ford pickup
A model Ford rod, LHD & modelled along US magazine style
Chopped Mercury on hydraulic suspension
Very bright Willys coupe
The remainder are assorted street scenes, but all very well put together cars.
The depressed economy doesnt seem to have greatly affected the money spent on some cars, with one 32 glass tudor professionly built rod supposedly owing the owner over $300K, towed behind a big winnebago on a trailer. I didnt take any shots because I thought it very boring.
Lots of big dollar rods on trailers behind big rigs like Winnebagos seem to be appearing, so I guess some of the big super payouts are going on toys.
To each his own.
I apologise for the quality of some of the pix, as it was raining & very humid most of the time, & I'm not a professional photographer.
