Hi all, Well here we are home again after attending the "Motors in Motion" event in Kingaroy this weekend. We opted to stay overnight along with several other Vintage Vans. We've go to say that this was a great day out with an enormous amount to see. On display were a huge amount of beautiful cars, vintage motorbikes, steam driven farm machinery, vintage vans, planes, remote controlled planes(with wing spans that looked round 6 foot), an art competition and fashion parade, car time trials and etc. and probably plenty more not mentioned. The aerial displays were spectacular. Made us glad we were on Terra Firma as I would definitely have lost three days breakfast up there. Fantastic to watch though. There was an artist on site who, for a fee, did detailed sketches of peoples vehicles. He was flat out all day and did a great job. Plenty of food stalls to choose your lunch from, and some trade stalls for bits and pieces. Basically if you were bored after looking at all that lot you'd be pretty hard to please indeed. We'd like to thank vernon for posting this event, the vintage vanners who kept us company and the many community members, groups and clubs who put it all together. cheers retro64 footnote: our "Apprentice Quality Control Officer", the baby standard poodle "Louis"accompanied us on his first Vintage Caravan outing and his manners were impeccable

While there were only a small number of vans in attendence this year, This really was a great weekend away, and as a family we really had a fantastic time, we will definately be attending again next year, and hope we can get a few more VV' s to come along and join in the fun in 2013!!! *** "Louis" the apprentice quality control officer recommends that you pop this one on your calender for consideration in 2013 !! *** "ruff" Thanks to everyone involved in the organisation !! A job well done !!! cheers troy and nicole.

Hey trub73, There might have only been a handful of vintage vans on display and in attendance, but it certainly was busy! The local paper said there were over 3500 people through the gates I know we had an enormous amount of people through the van, answered a million questions, most appreciated the work and detail put into the vv's. One lady was so excited to see Ziggy as she was the owner of what sounds like an Astronaut, though she insists it is a 15 foot Carapark Zestline , now that would be a rare van to see. Louis had a great time, absolutely exhausted after all the attention, his poodle hair do was practically squashed flat with all the patting he'd received . Thanks again for posting the photos as I know the bucket proved challenging, for hours, in your attempt to post. We appreciate it. Elona and Lionel, retro64
