We have fallen in love with this gorgeous little classic & are hoping to acquire a piece of history. We would appreciate any information you may have on Sunliners for sale. We are interested in one that is in good original condition, but would also be more than happy with a restored one. We are located in NSW, but are happy to travel for a good one. Any hints or information would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Josh, thanks so much for your rapid response. Your Sunliner looks like quite a project. Unfortunately I am not terribly handy (in fact not handy at all), so would be better off with one not requiring as much work. Thank you so much anyway!

Hard to find someone who will part with one if you find it
I have a 1959 Sunliner - inside original, untouched and really very good. Just about to paint outside and finish saftey gear. Parts not easy to get, I fashioned a few smaller items
Looking to get new springs soon but expect will need to be made
Am looking to get original logo made but looking to find colours etc, mostyl only B&W photos available

Hi Grantxtian, Am looking to get original logo made but looking to find colours etc, mostyl only B&W photos available Have you seen the thread on Sunliner logos in the Technical Stuff section here? There's a bit of info there that may be useful. Although the Sunliner logo developed over time, from what I've seen they tended to be fairly drab affairs (sorry Sunliner fans ) - combinations of black, white and brown. So your comment of only B&W photos may just reflect reality. ;D ;D ;D Don Ricardo

Hi all, thanks very much for your posts & comments thus far. It is so lovely to find people who are so helpful & passionate about their Sunliners & vintage caravans! We are still keenly looking for a Sunliner. Our ultimate would be one in reasonable to good original condition, but we realise this is an extremely tall order considering they are 50 year old vans in hot demand! But one can still dream & wait... Mia.

Just finished the major paint job on the outside - will be changing the black stone guard for a deep red colour.
Used a paint called TOP Coat form Whitcoulls - boat parts and repairs - went on a treat with rollers.
Going to get the springs and bearings redone this week Inside is original - even stove and fridge still work after 50+ years Been in family since new - been around the country quite a lot in those years - even on part of my honeymoon.
Am getting a logo made in vynil, based on pictures of original outlines etc - believe it had a red ring for the sun on circle - rest was black and white Needs a new jockey wheel as this one is now old and unsafe
Booked a trip to Tasmania this XMASS
Will get more pictures posted soon
Happy to answer questions as this is a great forum Hope you like it - trying to keep as original as we can (except for safety concerns)

Hi All,
Thank you SO much for all your replies, leads & advice.
Thanks to the forum, we have found the Sunny of our dreams! She is just divine...gorgeous & original on the interior, but needs quite a lot of love on the exterior.
No doubt we will be needing a lot of advice once we start the restoration, so please expect some questions!
Looking forward to the project which will be almost as fun as a holiday in the new Sunny (I hope!).
Regards, Mia.
