Hi All,
Was thinking about going to this one, but unfortunately it doesn't coincide with the Nanango market, so won't be attending.

Hi jondi55, We are hoping to attend the Water Hole Rocks event at Nanango. The flyer we have for this event says "rock n roll, hot rods, custom cars - vintage vans". To our way of thinking we would like to participate in an event, held locally to us, that is also including vintage caravans. Please correct us if we're wrong ,but we believe this event is being run by the same mob that ran "Raisin Hell In Maidenwell', it was well organised, the people were friendly and welcoming, and we enjoyed ourselves. That being said, providing we have no unforseen mishaps or emergencies , we will be there with bells on. Cheers Elona and Lionel, retro64

Hi all.
We had a great weekend at Nanango. Numbers were down on what they expected but the organisers seemed happy for their first event. A small turnout of vans but we all had a good time! We took out the trophy for the best car and van combination and then took out the prize for the best rock n roll dance couple!!! :-)
See everyone at South Balina next weekend.

Glad someone enjoyed Nanango . The Zephyr broke down and we spent two hours waiting for a tow truck on the highway, where were you Mark? Anyhow ended up being towed home, it was Milly's first outing and she got damaged by the tow truck so to say we were ........ was an understatement. Don't know if she will be ready for Canagura, fingers crossed, I really wanted to go to this event I even had a new dress for the occasion! One classic car was spotted in 3 hours and that was from the tow truck. Take care all. Sharon & Steve

hi sharon and steve oh! the joys of vintage caravanning behind a classic car. don't feel too bad about your mishap, it's one of those thing that most of us have experienced. the good part is that the more they break down, the more reliable they end up becoming - sounds silly but it's true. we've had the continental brought back from the central coast to sydney on a truck, the crown victoria brought back from i forget where on a truck and the modern ute brought back from victoria on the back of a truck, each time with the vintage van being towed behind. unfortunate about the van being damaged but that's not uncommon when our vans have short drawbars. as a matter of interest, when we were coming back from tathra a couple of weeks ago, i backed the corner of the continental into the front of the van twice, one on each side. luckily the van was easily fixed but it's going to cost me some serious dollars to replace the chrome strip on the continental, but oh well, that's life, no point getting upset about it. keep looking forward to your next trip, the zephyr couldn't possibly let you down twice in a row. geoff 'n jude

Hi Geoff, I hate to be the one to mention this - but I think that the Zephyr has let Sharon and Steve down about 10 times in a row already. Normally Steve leaves Sharon in the Van on the side of the road and coaxes the Zephyr back home then comes back to collect Sharon in the modern car and they carry on their journey. Obviously the Zephyr couldn't be coaxed home this time Sharon & Steve - so sorry to hear that Milly got damaged - I know how much work you have put into her, to get her ready for her maiden run. Luv Di xx
