Hi retrogirl If you're talking about the Globie in NSW, I think it might still be on the market. Cruz will probably let you know.
Regarding the Trail-a-home, I found that van in Childers and to my knowledge is the only known van in existence by the brand. Not sure if the current owner is prepared to part with it, and is also a major resto job.
Good luck in your search.
Ray

Hi all Thanks for the info. I somehow overnight have become obsessed with trying to find a van!!! I have also just found that vintage caravanmag... Amazing! My parents had a "wallace and grommit" style van as a kid inthe uk and I have never stopped dreaming since. So heartwarming to find all of you enthusiasts. I am impressed there are so many women with vans also... that was a block for awhile, but Im sure I can do it! Not towed anything in my life... Advice: I looked at a Viscount today, early 70's was nice, but has hail damage. Just small pock marks and a very small amt of water damage in one corner. But its in Qld which is a start...!!! I have left a message for globetrotter person and no reply as yet! Anyway thanks again all. Cheers Lisa

Hi Lisa, I have a beautiful early 1950s caravan, completely restored and ready to go anywhere. I purchased it in that condition from one of the members on this forum less than six months ago, but due to a change in my situation, I am no longer able to keep it. It is registered until the end of this year and has an awning. I haven't used it since I purchased it. I live in SA though, but I know of a professional caravan towing man that I put up on the pro board on this site as he transported it to me. Anyway email me and I can send you all the photos, its amazing.

Hi Everyone, We too are looking for a 1950's era caravan. We are recent newcomers to the site and as we have bought ourselves a 1956 Chrysler Desoto not long ago we reckon a suitable same era van would complete the picture. Do like the pic from Roehm3108. Whats the story on that one ? We live in Bloomsbury( between Mackay and Proserpine QLD) Thanks for any replies. Smokenell
