Hi, I'm new to the Wonderful World of Vintage Caravans and i'm absolutely hooked. I love all things Vintage (they jus don't make them like they used to) and hate buying brand new, if I can make it myself for half the cost. I'm a young, DONT wanna "stay at home" mum and an aspiring Video/Photographer in desperate need of a "6 Berth Olympic Riviera" to go travelling the open road capturing beautiful landscapes on film and photo. I jus missed out on a van that was perfect for me and my young family on Ebay, but someone with a bigger wallet than mine snagged it . I've been saving my pennies and watched as many a Fab-u-glass V V passed me by . I hope to not have to wait much longer. I live in the Gold Coast and am willing to travel to anywhere in NSW or QLD for a good deal. I have set a budget of 3000-4000 to buy a caravan and 2000 to get it on the road. I wanna find something that doesn't take too much to get on the road, that doesn't have too much rust or broken fibreglass(don't know how to fix that) but I can do all the carpentry, upholstery and curtaining. If my budget is unrealistic please don't hesitate to let me know. All the help I can get will be much appreciated ;D. THANX Yvette

Hey Yvette Welcome to the wonderful nutty world of Vintage vans. ;D As for finding an Olympic.... Have you PMed Boblor yet? He is the best one to find a van for you. You will find one as there are quite a few Riviera's out there. Keep looking, chin up Cheers Atog

hi Yvette! salutations and such - nice to see another girlie sign on exciting business, this van search, eh? we've just bought our first vintage van, and like you, needed one big enough for a youngish family. funnily enough, the rivieras were one of the first models we really looked at. they really are fab, arent they! anyway, all the best for your search. no doubt you'll find one before too long as they seem to crop up fairly regularly, as mr atog said
