Maidenwell is in Queensland approx 2 1/2 hours north west of Brisbane. Go to Nanango then head towards Bunya Mountains

Its a one pub, one shop town but we have a good time there sitting around fires, out on a cruise, pig on a spit, games etc. Freezing cold though ! Thats part of it. We just hope we can still make it. I have to pull the trans out of the 55 for a checkup and the ute motor might not handle the trip either.

Hi All,
Looks like a great run, & pretty laid back like a lot of the bush rod runs can be.
Would have loved to catch up, but alas it wasnt meant to happen for us.
Since the big trip to Cowra I,ve had to cut back on travel costs until I catch up a bit.
We intended to spend last weekend at Fishing Haven at Yamba, but the cold & wet weather stopped us doing that as well. Not a lot of fun travelling mid winter in an open hot rod.
Still theres always warmer weather coming up.
Good to see everyone enjoying themselves

Hi all, We'd like to thank everybody who had a hand in organising, running, sponsoring and participating in this event. I't has been ages since we went to an outing with a vv group, and Maidenwell was certainly worth the effort. We thoroughly enjoyed it ;D Yes it was cold at times, but those fire drums were well stocked with timber. Afew extra layers of clothes and blankets and all was toasty warm. Thanks to sutcat for posting the pics. Cheers Elona and Lionel, retro64

Hi Clyde, did you realise Fugly must have bred up with a teardrop when you were burning up those cars & now there's little Fuglies? Congrats to you & Barb for being the grandparents of that little Fugly in the photo!! Not as pretty as big Fugly tho..
See all you SEQers shortly.

I found a cool site with heaps of photos from Maidenwell and also Cowra Nationals. Search for Hotrodhotline.com then go to 2012 car shows and click on New Zealand with Noddy Watts He has taken heaps of excellent pics at both events. Check it out ! Cheers . John
