Thanks to everyone who gave instructions and advice in htis, my first foray into caravan work (or any similar undertaking). In the end the floor is terrible and, thus, the outside panels don't look as straight as I would like. The plan is to do the whole floor in a few years. Perhaps use this one and recon another (perhaps 1970's) van. Then do a good job on the Olympic, floor up, while using the other van (wife does not know this plan yet). The beds worked out ok. Almost all of the cutting was done by hand, so thanks to whoever it was that recommended the Bahco profcut laminator.... great little saw. when I do the "big job" I will be buying some good power tools. When I redo the floor I will look at different options. Perhaps marine ply or the fiberglass sheeting they make boat floors out of. Now on to the panelling, painting, etc.

That's good progress. Are you going to use the space underneath for storage? Just looking at those pics, something I didn't think to do on mine and will do if there's ever a second van (!) is put a small door in to allow access to through the end of the beds, where you currently have gaps, as an alternative to lifting the squabs etc.
I like the chest of drawers. It'll look great once you get the lining on the walls. Looks like you've got some nice window sills there too.

Nice work - looking the goods.
I like the underbed storage - no toe smashing AND good access. Brilliant!
