Has anyone heard of Sunliners by Waldens? I came across this Sunliner yesterday, and was unlike any I have seen before. It was 14' long and had a fully moulded fibreglass interior, with a full size bath under the bed, and also a sink handbasin set up too. Originally the handbasin was between the 2 single beds, but has been converted to a doublebed. Of course, the van is NOT FOR SALE, and the owners are aware of this site. They hope to be at the GREAT SUNLINER REUNION /50th birthday at Forster. I have googled without success. \ i6.photobucket.com/albums/y246/depetay/IMG_1315.jpg[/I

Don't know why that image thread doesn't come up, but that's an interior shot.

Looks much like the Sunliner tucky is doing up right now he has stripped it out and has nearly got the body ready for paint he is saying it is 14 ft 6 inches in length knowing Tucky this will be a humdinger when its finished we were talking about mounting it on airbags it had a height problem but whatever happens with it it will be an awseome looking unit when he finishes it Will

Hi humpty What a lovely Sunny that is...wow! Where hubby & mates go fishing every few months, there's a "stretch sunny" that they drool over. It's never for sale of course, as someone lives in it but here's a couple of pics of it for you. It's a nice one too Lulu

Hi Sunliner lovers. Looks like a nother twist in the history of sunliners. ?? Was Waldens the manufacturers or possibly the dealers/distributors in Bundaberg Just a quick line to let ya's know i passed a Sunliner heading up "Waterfall Way" to Dorrigo on sunday. freezing cold and drizzling rain. It was a very deep biscuit cream coloured van being towed by a white EA or EB falcon wagon.. Looked to be in very good condition with "Sunliner" written in dark maroon above the window. Know who they are?? Cant describe it much better than that . was dicing with about 6 other old 1940s motorbikes in the wet on our way down a very twisty and wet road heading down to Bellingen. Also Lulu.. we called passed your place on the way home about 11 ish Monday. Was gunna check out the new wagon. Raining and no one home so we pushed on . Reddo

Dorian, The van has been restored and the window screen was an individual art work, non orginal.

Hey Reddo, you sure the Sunliner wasn't pushing the Falcon? I've heard they often need to be... ;D Relax Ford fans, just teasing.... What i did find however, was there are several references to Waldens in manufacturing (USA & UK) so you just never know, they may have just ended making toilet seat hinges or something obscure like that..

Hi V Vers The windows on the Walden are a mixture , the two large units on the right side were not available until '71-'72 period, so these may have been changed at some stage. It has class because its fabuglass. Cheers boblor
