1967 Zephyr caravan:(source: posted by will and lyn, Dec 20, 2005, who wrote: wanna see an unusual van I was wrong about the portholes they have a rubber surround Has F.E. tyres and rims Zephyr Caravan made from aluminium the van was manufactured in 1967 has curved sides and reduces to half the height via a pulley system around 12 ft long) Reply from Jim: Will...It could be a New Zealand Zephyr. They were originally built in Dunedin in the 40's and later built by Modern Caravans. A picture would help but early Zephyrs had a fiberglass roof and later models had a distinctive forward leaning look. Telltale NZ construction details can be couplings and jockey wheels that look different to Australian ones. Possibly a lipped C channel drawbar and different looking suspension.
