Hi Melanco, Nice score with the jigsaw, eh? But Cobber can't claim that one for Driftwood. The caravan in the picture is based on one of Reddo's vans (or maybe a mixture of several), as seen in this post. Jenny Sanders' designs based on Reddo's vans (and his vehicles) have been used for a variety of products. These items are in our collection: The design on the mugs is the same as your jigsaw and resembles Reddo's 'Rosie', while the biscuit tin is based on his 'Matilda'. Don Ricardo

Poor Cobber - can't go anywhere without Driftwood stealing the limelight! From the Nundle Woollen Mill Facebook page on 30 March - must have been on the way to South West Rocks: Don Ricardo

SPOT ON DON R.! Nobody notices me, this was mentioned back on page 3 of this thread in THIS POST On the way to SWR we joined Ken Koala's tour at Nundle and dropped in to say G'day to Nick Bradford, owner of the Mill. He asked me to let tour members know that he would give a tour of the Mill & it's operation next morning for those who may be interested (this was done via Sandra, spreader of the word ) and apparently some took up the offer. Nick showed us a 72 ply wool they started producing after receiving inquiries subsequent to the 'wool wrapped Driftwood extravaganza' in 2013It is called 'Caravan' I did suggest it might sell better if he called it 'Driftwood' Knits up quite nicely But if you like that sort of stuff...... how about this ? Cobber.

G'day Cobber, The shape's not right I admit, but gee, the colours and the flash look familiar. What do your reckon? The photo is of a doll's house currently on offer on Ebuy UK. At least you wouldn't have trouble getting a fridge in and out of this one. Thanks to Dorothy Darby on the Retro Caravan Club (UK) Including Vintage & Classic Facebook page for highlighting this one (credit where credit's due). Don Ricardo

Aw gee Don R. I think we may be pushing the envelope a bit with this one, I won't be adding it to my collection, apart from the fact that I don't have a need for a dolls house these days By the way ..... I've been keeping an eye on that 'Retro Caravan Club' in the UK too, brand new kids on the block catering for vans up to 1982 and off to a running start, even have members in Oz. Cobber.

JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS ! Don R first drew our attention to this image, and this artist, back in February in this post. The artist, Sharon Poulton, has now joined Redbubble so the image is now available on a whole range of items including these mugs and stickers. Just what I needed, more Driftwood 'stuff' How about you ? Cobber.

Sorry folks, I know it happens every year but Driftwood Christmas cards are available again this year from a different supplier this time. Same cards but cheaper, and you have a choice of Australian made cards all with Aussie scenes from an Australian company (Gone Troppo Cards) located in Qld. To order a card CLICK HERE [/URl] If you want a corporate or personal message in your card better hurry, orders close 7th Dec. My only connection with this company is, they like Driftwood ..... same as I do. Cobber.

G'day Cobber, Good to see the Driftwood 'merch' out and about still. Just the other day we saw the 'Driftwood at the beach' Christmas cards in our local newsagent, being sold to support the McGrath Foundation, so we bought a few packs. An iconic picture for two good causes - the McGrath Foundation and.the vintage caravan movement! Winner! We haven't been able to find anywhere that sold them in previous years, but you know what all our friends and rels will be receiving this year! Don Ricardo

A while back we won this jig saw with "Vincent the Viscount" ,now being promoted by Time to Roam. We were able to complete the van & car over a few nights but now the "sky" has our senior eye sights under stress. Our neighbor has been called in to finish!!

Was that van in the jigsaw puzzle former member Reddo's rig. Cobber, you're the elder, you would remember.

You are right Ray the van is one of reddo's early restorations, but you don't have to be a fossil to know that, you only have to read the post at the top of this page by Don R where he makes that clear in reference to the same jigsaw posted by Mel at the bottom of page 7. Cobber.

Hi All I received the following missive from our lurking member Wal and Anna Robinson "G'day Mustang Your post October 14 2019 got my attention. At the vintage vanner's Anglesea weekend 2017, Anna and I also won this jigsaw, with the same featured picture of Reddo's old rig. We won it in the wonky lemon indoor bowls competition. It's obvious in our photo that you are further advanced than we are. So before our brains become even more stressed, but only upon completion of your puzzle, could you kindly despatch your neighbour chop chop to our place to finish ours. Wal Robinson."There must be something about that blue sky!

Sorry for the short notice 😥 but just to let you know that the "Driftwood by the sea side" Henderson charity cards are available for Christmas 2019. You find it in their "Merry Christmas McGrath foundation Charity Display Stand" at newsagents that stock Henderson Greeting cards. The "Driftwood in the outback" card is still available from "Gone Troppo" They also have a square, but less elaborate, and more expensive version of the "by the sea side" card.. Cobber.

Hi all, It’s a while - well six months - since Cobber’s celebrity caravan Driftwood made a public appearance. Covid-19 and all that, I guess. However, looks like she’s out of isolation... This evening I watched an item on the ABC 7.00 pm news on the Winter Solstice celebration amongst Australian expeditioners in Antarctica. One of the rituals during the celebration is to carve a hole in the ice, and then for those who are game to take a dip in the freezing water. That was shown in the video clip accompanying the news item. But hang on, who’s that behind the ice hole... Yep, there’s Driftwood attending the celebration. Great to see that she was invited to the party: And here’s Driftwood at home with her attendants, Cobber and Yvonne, when she’s not out partying: And if you’re new to the forum and don’t know about Driftwood’s celebrity status, just have a look through this thread and you’ll soon see what I mean. G'day DCI Don Ricardo,
Yes poor old Driftwood has been in self imposed isolation down at the Davis Station in Antarctica for months but still can't resist the temptation to pose for the camera at any opportunity. She is incorrigible 😡
Cobber.
