Thanks reddo, MRFJ55 & urkel1965 Humpyboy here are some pics you asked for: The first thing I did 3 years ago after a REVS check was to find some neat plates, imagine my surprise when these were available (excuse the spots on the tailgate they're from hubby truck exhaust) Being a girl I was not born with “cannons” for arms so the 8 inch chromies had to come off & four spiffy white stock rims went on The snazzy blue seat from a sedan or wagon was too nice to change & looked really good against the matt black paint A local trimmer fitted a new off white roof, sunvisors & made me a great black parcel shelf

(excuse the spots on the tailgate they're from hubby truck exhaust) Me thinks he should park it elsewhere Good score on the plates, it is a wonder they were still up for grabs and I agree that blue does go well with the stelth black, dare I ask what happened to the bonnet

What is it about the bl**dy dent I left in the bonnet , I get so many comments about that, she's not a show car, she has dings and dents & scruffy paint, just the way I wanted her to look

;D On the 7th of Feb aquamum wrote.. "A new skin on her tail" So.. there ya go... no money left ta do a cosmetic job on the yoots nose... But i gotta admit.. i was wandering how a bend in the left front corner of the bonnet could get like that . Bonnet catch stuck .. so tried a crowbar to pop the bonnet.?? Not blaming you Sandra .. just an observation from a few of us. Drive it and enjoy it.. stick a spud up hubbys truck zorst pipe Reddo

I DRIVE A 1955 FJ HOLDEN UTE EVERYDAY, HAVE DONE FOR 20+ YEARS , 'WARTS & ALL" . LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT. 57 YEAR OLD VEHICLE .
THE AMOUNT OF COMMENTS I GET REGULARLY ABOUT THOSE "WARTS" DRIVES ME CRAZY . SO BORING HAVING PEOPLE POINT OUT THE FAULTS ALL THE TIME, ITS LIKE THEY ARE TELLING YOU SOMETHING YOU DONT ALLREADY KNOW . SAME WITH OUR V V'S.
HELLLLOOO........ THEIR OLD AND WELL USED , NOT SHOW PONIES !
DRIVE THE WHEELS OF IT AQUA AND ENJOY . MAURIE .
;D WINNERS ARE GRINNERS ! ;D

Hey Aquamum, LOVE your ute. I'm with you - my ute is Matt purple with LOTS of bubbles, cracks and imperfections, but hey so what??? I love it and drive it everyday, everywhere. If it was all perfect I wouldn't be so keen to drive it and park it at the shops and work etc, so just as long as you're happy it doesn't really matter. Mine even had an internal "water feature" but since getting a broken windscreen on the way back from Cowra it has been fixed, so it doesn't leak there anymore. I just smiled and laughed when people pointed out the water inside the car :-) like you, I knew it was there, but I could live with it. Just enjoy it, which I'm sure you don't need any encouragement to do that.
Cheers, Dianne

jondi55 Hey Diane let me just say that I really love your ute I had just decided to paint my ute matt black when I saw a pic of your's towing jellybean and knew I'd made the right decision I had even installed a black rubber mat instead of carpet knowing that 50 years old cars do leak water from time to time ;D shattered windscreeens or not Thank you for your comments, it's been 3 year of hard work.
