G'day Sheppo, That last photo looks familiar.......... we're in Kakadu not far from the "Border Store" I had a walking staff made from a stick I'd picked up in Queensland and an old bloke asked me where I bought it.... he wanted one the same . Cobber.

Hey you lot, If you're going to show us pics of places we've never been too - or even heard of in some cases - how about telling us a bit about them, so we get 'edjicated' while we're at it. Something like: Yep <insert name of clever socks who worked out where location is with minimal clues>, that's it. The photo was taken at <insert name of far flung place>, and shows <insert name of natural feature or human construction>. For those who haven't been lucky enough to get there yet, <insert name of far flung place> is located in the <insert appropriate compass point> of <insert name of Australian state or territory>. I/We visited there in 18... <insert approximate date> while <insert reason for visiting far flung place, such as "digging for gold/oil/asbestos">. <Insert name of far flung place> is worth visiting because <insert reason, such as "we found so much gold/oil/asbestos that we've been able to retire and visit places you poor sods that are still working can only dream about">.See, that's not too hard is it? Seriously, it would be good if you could tell us a bit about the place the photos are from so we know where we want to go when we get the chance. ;D ;D ;D Don Ricardo (with seriously itchy feet caused by looking at the pics, but no way to scratch them at this point in his life)

G'day Don R. I think I know what you are saying...... you're saying you think it would be nice if people could elaborate a little in their description of the location and features of the places the photos were taken ........ but some of these places, in fact most of these places have much more to them than the one lousy photo being posted during this “competition”, and to elaborate along the lines you have suggested would put “Google” out of business . For instance..... with the “Natures Window” shot above.... it is only a small part of the Kabarri N P, and I could have mentioned that we were there on day 123 of our “drive around the block” in 1998, and upon reflection I wish it had been day 323 which would have indicated we had been travelling at a much more relaxed pace than we did..... so much to see and do . These days.............. Google knows more about the places we went to than we did.........................way back in 1998 ....... but I know what your saying ..... elaborate. WHERE ARE YOU BOBLOR..... YOUR TURN TO POST A PHOTO Cobber

Hi All Will try and post a new photo during w/e. The above Park is well worth the visit, you get a fantastic view of the winding rocky gorge below. I also remember seeing different coloured sands along the entry road to the Park. We visited on our round the block trip in 2006. In fact the whole area around here is worth a good look, such as a large bird aviary, where they breed some rare birds, and of course the rocky coast line. We can not wait to get back on the road again, we plan to tourer next year from April until Dec. if health allows. Cheers boblor

Hiya Rod, it's pretty easy really, the panel where the hood fits into/over the cowl sides is flat on '35 and the '36 has a big X pressed into the panel...if that makes sense. If not,I can put a couple of pic's on to show you.....as long as no-one is going to be upset by talking non caravan for a couple of minutes ;D, cheers....Col. Makes sense to me Col, but post a pic or two cause I know Sheppo and that Cobber bloke are a bit slow on the up take (sadly) ;D Cheers Rod ...sorry,I got sidetracked.....and the ones I thought I had in photobucket fell victim to a recent tidy up in there ....I'll try and get some more pics done tonight but right now I'm off to a clearing sale to look at that old Coronet (see...there is some caravan content after all ;D) cheers,Col.

It appears that this one is a bit too obscure to guess so will fill you in that it is Yeldulknie Reservoir near Cleve, SA. My replacement photo is an easy one - Cheers Smiley

Hmmm Sutcac, I'm tossing up whether it is the ferry over the Murray at Wellington in South Australia or the one at Tailem Bend... From what I can discern from your pic, I'm going to punt on the Wellington ferry. I've been on the Tailem Bend ferry quite a few times on my work trips, but I think it has a different structure on the ramps. If you went on the ferry on the way to Mount Gambier I reckon you travelled from Adelaide to the Mount via Victor Harbour, Goolwa, Wellington, Coorong, Kingston SE, and Robe? On the other hand it could be the Mannum ferry over the Murray... Nup, I'm going to stick with the Wellington ferry. How am I going? (You'll probably tell me that it's a river crossing somewhere on the Todd River near Alice Springs! ;D ;D ;D) Don Ricardo
