Unfortunately, the new version (v5) of Proboards does not provide the direct and easy “click and open” facility for both emails or personal messages (PM’s) that was available in the previous version (v4).
In version 5, to send another member an email, you must:
- find their name in the members list (you can add their first letter to the search box and press the search button)
- open their profile
- either copy the email address (block it, right click, then copy) or write it down.
- open your email provider (eg: Outlook Express) and open a new message
- add the address to the new email
To send another member a personal message, you must:
- find their name in the members list (you can add their first letter to the search box and press the search button)
- open their profile
- click the “send message” icon at the top right of the member’s profile
OR on the member’s post:
- click the gearwheel dropdown at the top right of the member’s post
- move your cursor over “member”
- click on “send message”
