Hi All Reddos statement Truth is this bloke that has pm'd me expressing interest will get it for what i paid for it plus the cost of retrieval. ... well that is if he is willing to pay that much. First up I would like to thank reddo for going to the trouble and bring home this old dear (Eugowra) and given myself the opportunityof owning a part of " Australia's Touring Heritage " Reddo has kept to his word and I feel Reddo has ripped himself off ........ with what I am paying for Eugowra it wont even make a dent in my wallet Its going to be a few weeks before I can bring the old dear home ( the boss is in hospital ) hoping she is home by eary next week Gay does not know what I have gone and done.......not going to tell her till she is home ( don,t wont her to go backwards) Ever since I joined this forum I all ways wanted something different than the run of the mill caravan ...Thanks to Reddo I now have that If it works out I thought I might pick it up the weekend that Shannons event is on at Canberra and put it on display on the way home but Reddo feels Eugowra needs a few small things done to it first to make it safe Yes it will be kept original .....BUT FORD...... wheels behind the 37 chev roadster not sure about that can anybody tell me from the photo's is the axle T ford or A model f/f ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hiya Mr F/F,that axle is a T Model......if you're concerned your Chev might "reject" the Ford wheels, you could always redrill the adapter plate that is on it to Holden bolt pattern and bolt up some '34 Chev wires.....just don't tell Cobber ;D ..... PS....my Chev roadster has got Ford bolt pattern wheels.....doesn't seem to hurt it too much....... ;D ;D ...see...it looks happy.... ;D ;D PPS.....and you're right ...Reddo's generosity is legendary....whoever made that smartarse comment about profiteering should be ashamed of themselves

MR. F/F... DON'T LISTEN TO THAT BAD...BAD KAYBEE. If the worst comes to the worst you could always put Ford wheels on the Chev..... it's only a car...it doesn't matter.... people put all sorts of wheels on cars... it doesn't matter..... but a 1920s example of "Australia's touring Heritage" must have the correct wheels attached . I hope you somehow manage to bring that 1920s pop-up to Mildura, we don't expect you and Gae to sleep in it...although that would be fun to see, but maybe you could put it on the roof of the Chev. with the Roadhaven behind Cobber.

Cobber Your 2 statements worry me a little bit If the worst comes to the worst you could always put Ford wheels on the Chev..... it's only a car...it doesn't matter.... people put all sorts of wheels on cars... it doesn't matter..... but a 1920s example of "Australia's touring Heritage" must have the correct wheels attached . Hey Reddo, I couldn't agree with you more on the "wheels date a van". I think they are the one thing that detracts from its appearance. it automatically made me look at it and wonder "what makes this 1928? " As a Model T owner and club member, I thought I'd put some stuff straight here for whomever ends up with this trailer. The axle IS Model T, front. It's an early axle and wire wheels will NOT fit those hubs as is. Model T's had wire wheels from Henry, only in the last couple of years. Those hubs are are much earlier than 26/27. They would have been fitted with either timber fellows and demountable rims or one piece (pre 1920) one piece wheels. It's a bit hard to tell from the photo. Wire wheels are relatively available (but expensive) and allow the fitment of balloon tyres (less punctures). Timber fellows are easy to rebuild with new spokes and are much cheaper, demountables are easier to manage. Whoever ends up with it, if they want help with this, can get me at my T site. Happy to oblige.. www.modeltcentral.comCheers Chris

Hi Chris No .. if's .... but's ... or maybes the van is going to F/F in a few weeks time. I have no reason not to believe the fellow i bought the van from. He seemed as honest as the day is long . The axle is T model. . I also looked at a 24 T model c cab truck that was for sale at Clarendon swap ( $9500) it had identical hubs with wooden spoke wheels. The ädaptors on the van actually sit the wheel inwards about 2"from the original centres. They have used the long bolts that would have gone through the wooden spokes to hold the plate back from the original outer T model hub plate. My thoughts where to see if the later T hubs that accept wire wheels would fit the earlier T stub axle taper. But that was just my preference for wire wheels. Would be an easier job to revert to the original wooden spokers. Thanks for the words about not ripping people off. To Clear things up a bit .. but not reveal the price i sold the van to Geoff for...... I paid $200 for the van... .. and only added what it cost me in fuel to drive to Blayney and back ... plus a $40 trailer hire... You do the sums. Not only is this van one of the oldest / rarest in our fold... it is one of the cheapest. True.. it could have been a lot dearer ... but i am happy with my dosh coming back to my pocket. Also happy that its going somewhere where it will be A: appreciated. B; Used .... Sorta hope it brings a bit of reality back to what the old vans are worth and cools the market a bit for those looking to get into vintage caravaning without having to mortgage thier house to finance the old van ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Not 100% certain yet .. .. but .. if the deal goes through..... and...if he agrees to help me out....F/F might have another "object of interest" to bring to Newcastle on his car trailer when he heads up in a few weeks Dont panic Geoff... it aint heavy Reddo

And after Reddo bought it back from Mrs FF, I bought it off Reddo, it now sits in my shed with current South Aussie registration on it.
The 1937, the 1952 Globe and the Bethanga caravan's all need attention before I decide on which way to go with the 1928 van.
Its under cover and sat behind the ute like a brand new van bringing it from Reddo's down here to Mount Gambier. It will come out every now and then for local and near by events. So it wont be a dust collector !! The current rims stay on the van.
