Yo Just got home from Munmorah.. Letter to Albert (dad ) Steptoe.. "Hello mudda Hello Fadda Here i am at Camp Munmorah Taaaakkkkkeee meeee Home Oh Mudda fadda Taaaakkkkkeeee mmmmmmeeeee Home Theres not much more i can say I've been here one whole day Wait a minute Its stopped raining Guys are swimming Guys are sailing Things are better Mudda fadda Kindly disregard this letter ;D Dear dad. Had a wanderful time with all my vintage vanning buddies this weekend . Lotsa real bewt bondwoods. Cuppla nice tinnie vans and of course a stack of the "Other " sorta vans made out of that un-natural itchy stuff. We drankl lotsa beer. Had a roaring fire both nights and I never told one lie. Unkle Daggsey showed us his smoldering boot- suicide bombers joke"... 6 times .. before he got it right.. Geez dad and i thought i was a terrible drunk.. Uncle Geoff got all silly and nearly fell in da fire. Waynes boot wouldnt work properly on Friday night and he nearly fell in the fire too. Oh bye the way...lacem and hillbilly.. yes that is a miniture dunny seat in front of Matilda. It was presented to me at the end of the 2006 spring tour... signed by everyone that went. I also got a tshirt that boots made up for me and it also has everyones name on it from the 2006 tour... Some of the cherished memrobillia i have been given by great mates from this van group over the past few years. I dont usually put theses things out for display but i did this year to remind people what a great time we have on the tours and regional get togethers..... and No i havent used it for what it was intended. Anyway dad..... I hope ya got home from the "Old Boilers convention" OK I promise ta show ya where the 3 cross head screws are in old 36 if ya come to Coledale Bye fa now Ya luvin son 'Arold.

Sunday afternoon in Vintage Vanland, Munmorah, Some rough-looking characters today .......I'm not sure if the celebratory drinks consumed last evening has anything to do with this look...... Anyway, we all had a group hug this morning and a photo of the Class of 2008, Vintage Van Land, Munmorah is attached........ I'm sure others will post more photos on this thread as they arrive home. G'day all you Munmorahites, Great photos so far from Daggsey & Carrots, Geoff & Jude.......... having been there last year I know the pain some of you are going through..... having to pack up, go home & get back to work today ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I would have liked to have been there again because my weekend was not so much a “Vintage Caravan” bonding session.... but it was spent in the company of very friendly people with a similar attitude to preserving Australia's heritage & having a good time, it's just that their toys are more bigger, more expensive, more complicated, more dirtier, more noisier ..... but you can go for a ride on them. I'll try and give you a feel for the “steam rally” on that thread eventually. 'arold, I'm pleased to hear you had a good time and didn't disgrace the family name by being the worst drunk in attendance, but knowing you.... I bet you kept your end up . Cobber.
