Hi all Victorians, Or should I say everyone living in Victoria. Alan and I are going to be touring around the Echuca, Bendigo, Ballarat, Geelong, Mortlake area in early March 08 with the VV. We are then popping up to Albury for 2 nights in a motel (with friends), prior to driving back through VIC to Mt Gambier for the VV Nationals. Rather than drag the VV up to Albury, just to come back down into VIC a couple of days later - we are looking for a safe place in VIC where we can leave our VV for 2 nights on 14th & 15th March. It's only just over 10ft and doesn't need to be under cover. So if any of you have a big back yard or know of a good secure storage yard that we could use that would be great - thanks. Kind regards Diane

Hi Diane,
I have heaps of room. I'm on the Mornington Peninsula (the top end) and according to the last i saw on the meander to the mount post, they are travelling close enough past my place to spit on me! You could even hop on the ferry from Mortlake across the bay to me and them mosy on up to Albury rather than driving around the bay.
Let me know, Cheers Chris

Hi Chris, Thanks for the offer - that's lovely. We aren't taking part in the Meander to the Mount tour as we will already be down in VIC, so unfortunately I don't expect to be in your area. As (I think) we will be touring around the Echuca, Bendigo, Ballarat, Mortlake area, I suppose we are really hoping to find something around there. We haven't planned our tour exactly other than to know that we will be starting in Bendigo. So I suppose if we can find anywhere on the left of the Hume Highway (looking at a map) that would be the best. Many thanks anyway Regards Diane

Diane & Alan You are most welcome to park your VV next to me in Bendigo in March 2008. I am a home made VV & would appreciate a few days company as I do get lonely. My owners, Mark and Maureen don't use me often enough - my last outing was back in September when their vintage car club took me on a rally to Corowa on the Murray. Room will not be a problem as I am in a large yard. Regards VV (Mark and Maureen) Bendigo

No worries Diane,
I offered because you said in your first post - "We are then popping up to Albury for 2 nights in a motel (with friends), prior to driving back through VIC to Mt Gambier for the VV Nationals."
and Albury in North east of me (ish)..
Cheers Chris

I have enough room if you decide to leave it on the north side of Melbourne (Thomastown) Matt
