Yep, another great Australia day @ motorfest. By the end of the day we all feel a bit ragged around the edges........... talking vintage caravan to hundreds of very interested people, the vans are a big hit with the crowd, make no mistake. We were surprised to have six vans in all when Belinda and Rob joined the rest of the crew, don't know where they were hiding (and John Tickos) when this photo was taken in front of Geoff and Jude's “Ritz Cafe De Wheels” at the end of the day. Cobber.

G'day Bob, Thanks for dropping by the V V display and saying G'day. I had a look at your 60th Anniversary display..... most impressive, but I couldn't see anybody there that looked like you at the time . I spoke to Peter ? about the British display in August, he would like to see Ol' 36 there too. I will see what I can do about an English tow car.... otherwise just park the 'van behind a Daimler or SS Jag and park the FJ up in the bushes Cobber.

Speaking of all things British. I followed Maurie and his young bloke up in the FX convertable towing "Doris Atlantic " on to the "Big Coathanger" when we left Macquarie street. We come screaming up from under the bridge onto the far western lane of the bridge and was confronted by a Big silver "Bloodygreatleapincat" ( Jaguar) that had "Failed to proceed" and was being indignantly skull dragged onto a tilt tray truck. We executed a hurried lane change and politely waved and tooted as we motored past in our Aussie made Holdens. ;D ;D Would like to thank Lynelle Ticko for the cobweb clearing cuppa at 7.00am and Geoff and Jude for the afternoon Jam, scones and cuppa depicted in the photo that cobber put up. Beer is good... and the will never be anything that will replace that age old Caravanning/camping tradition called "Happy Hour".......... But a good strong cuppa works wanders to unravel the ravel in your mind after a day like Motorfest. It certainly helped with the concentration on the way home. Thanks for that Tickos and Geoff and Jude.... "Lifesavers" in a sea of people. Finally back onto the F3 Freeway 'bout 6 Oclock where i could relax and enjoy the 130 klicks back home..."Herbert Reddo" the HR Yoot with 1934 BSA sitting on his back just gentley humming along with the splinter Hilton swaying along behind under brilliant OZ Day Sunshine....... Crank up a bit of John Williamson on the CD sqwauk box and sit back an listen to him singin' about how great this country is. Lifes good on the road Wouldnt be dead for Quids . Reddo

Hi Wayne and shazza Coupla shots around mid day at motorfest Sorry the pixs dont show much of the vans. The place was flooded with people most of the day. 7.00am to 5.00pm. I estimate somewhere around 8000 people. I still reckon we vint vanners are the most patriotic group there. Everyone had big aussie flags flying from there vans. Coooool Bananas ;D Hey Maurie . I meant to ask you what the colour is called on the convertible? It might find its way onto Mildreds top half. Reddo
