HI All V V's
Our Club in Wollongong is having a car show at Kembla Grange Race Course on the 24th June 2007. We would love if any one would like to join us in entering the show and bringing your vintage van. So far Casper & Ticko's will be there. Entry is $20.00 and our Charity is Life Education- Illawarra, Which is the Caravan that goes around the Public Schools with Drug Education I did mention this grand event to people at Munmorah, and a few of you were thinking about coming down. Last year we had 230 entrants at the show and we have heaps of room to grow. Would love to promote our great hobby. Please let me know if you would like to join us so I can put room aside for us in one area. Also if anyone wants to stay over either Sat or Sun night the best place is probably Coledale or if you need Electricity there are a few parks I can suggest, so let me know.

G’day Ticcos, Your right, we should attend these car shows with vintage caravans in tow. At the moment car shows don’t have a judging category for “Best Caravan” but if enough of us turned up to these events maybe they would think about it. Last weekend I took ol’36 and the FJ to the Camden Car Show organised by the local Lioness club... we were the only caravan there, and the only FJ. We did manage to pick up a trophy, the “Macarthur Lions Club Choice”... last year it was the “Peoples Choice” and that is usually what happens, and will continue to happen I suppose because we are few in number and don't rate a category of our own. Sorry I can’t be at the Kembla do but all the local Vintage Caravaners, and there are a few down that way eh ? should give it a go and fly the flag . Cobber.

Hi All
Our Car show went off with a bang yesterday. We had over 250 entrants, Motorbikes, trucks, Veteran Vintage, Classic and modern cars, Trade stands and everything in between. Even the local fire station put on a terrific display during the day.
We had two caravans on display. one of the top trophies of the day was taken out by Troddler who bought his van out for the day, Thanks Troddler.
I did see a few VV members in our Crowd, Thanks FCDriver for joining us and I saw Murray wandering around, Casper was there taking some great photo's, Casper won a Trophy for his 66 Chevy pickup, HD Todd was there with a couple cars, if I missed anyone else thanks for joining us for this big day.

Hi V Vers. Had a great time at the Car Show, even picked up a trophy for the Ute and Propert. ;D ;D ;D I was a bit aprehensive about going after all of the rain we have had, but a late decision on Saturday afternoon and I was down the shed working on the Ute (was still replacing the axle and bleeding the brakes at 6.30 Saturday night.) Sunday weather was great even though some of the Sydney people had said that it had rained when they were leaving. There was a good cross section of cars from a 1920's truck to the modern BOOM BOOM cars.
Cheers. Trodler.
