Hi Guys
Dont wanna clog up the airways with too much yardda yardda about this but thought i would mention that i am planning on dawdling back from the 2008 V.V nats roughly retracing the steps of "Burke and Wills" alias Geoff and Jude.
They and thier band of intrepid "meanderers"should have the blacks and the mexicans under control in the deep south by the time we follow thier wagon tracks back through the spinifex.
Most people will be suffering a bit of travelling/ vint van burnout by the time we finish 5 or so days worshipping the grand poobah, dancing naked around the campfire, slaughtering a goat, drinking its blood, smokin' herbs, annointing each other with holy wine and beer , cuddling each others vans then coming down from the Holy mountain. So I figure we might snip a bit off the Melbourne area of the trip and zing across the top side of the city that has a river that runs upsidedown . Sorta aim for somewhere on the east side ( dandenongs???) for an overnighter then just sorta "Goof off and stumble around bumping into things" as we head back up the coast.
What a pity they dont have mid week swap meets??? still i suppose we could pick over the leftovers in the antique shops and check out the vint vans / cars / bikes 8-)and general crap that the earlier expidition had overlooked.
Might even get to dangle a line somewhere with a beer in ya hand at the end of the day.
Hey... Just got another headache.. I feel another brilliant plan hatching .....Maybe pick up all the bits that have fell off the fobbergrass vans on the way down and sell em back to 'em at Coledale. ...extra , extra cool. ;D
Plent of stubbies in the wheelie bin between now and then so dont worry about posting too much in the way of planning just yet. Expressions of interest is probably the best way to handle it at the mo.
Just let it soak into the old grey jelly and we can sort it out over a flagon at Mt Gummy

Tour Anthem... " where the heckarewee"
