Hi ticko,
We're hoping to be at coledale on Sunday, but that depends on our cars starting to behave themselves, & daughter having her baby on time, &..................
But we'll get there somehow.

Hi guys,
just a quick update, my hip is on the mend but slowly (I do everything slowly these days) so I am unsure if I will make it. If you dont see the Vagabond and Myrtle on the Thursday night dont worry, there is always next time.
cheers and safe travel to all, Leigh & Karon.

Hi All 11.00am EDST .....Just picked a blip on the Reddotel wood-o-matic timber caravan radar. It appears to be heading south on the Newcastle to Sydney expressway... leeeettttts seeeeee .......adjust the fine tuning and horizontal. Aaahh the sweet sound of the valves humming into life...waiting.. waiting.. looking... looking..... Here we go........ Yup... just as i suspected . An immaculate green 1964 Holden Premier towing what appears to be a giant bundy carton.... wwwwwaaaaiiitt.... no its a 1960s expanda van with "fugly" painted on it. Lets google earth the occupants... oooo.. the passenger looks alright... Hi Barb.. whats that on the back seat .... Its none other than "Tally" the well travelled supermutt Jack Russell. Now lets zero in on the driver .... Oh my gawd ... it doesnt look good . Some sort of mutant cane toad behind the wheel.... BANG .. Splutter...Cough............ Fizzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz OOO bugger that last image has blown a picture tube on the old wood-o-matic. . Well folks it looks like the annual migration of QLD Canetoads has begun ;D. Either that or the Sutcacs are heading to Coledale for the start of "The meander to the mount". Reddotel @ East Coast Central Survellience Command

Hi to all V.V.'s,
Wishing you all a safe trip to South Oz. Looks like we're not gonna make it this time. We have run out of time, but are still trying to have the van ready for the April School Hols. Hope to have an update with pics soon to show our progress. We are at the stage where everything is now going back onto the van. Just had reports from the "Enter at own Risk" shed that the roof is on, I have the patio covered with little cupboard doors and the gloss paint is on. But... not enough time. Have a wonderful time, can't wait to see the pics, so take and post lots. So close but so far.
Regards, Ann,Stephen & Katie - TCB crew

Hi Meanders, I have been enthusiastically following your thread and I couldnt help wanting to become involved with your great group. I am the proud owner of a 1950's bondwood van which I have just fully restored with 50's parafinalia and a 1953 Mark I Zephyr. I live in Geelong area and was wondering what is your expected arrival time off the ferry at Queenscliffe on Friday? For the ones travelling the long way round do you have an estimated time that you might be coming down the Freeway between Lara and Geelong so we might be able to take some photos as you pass by. Once in Queenscliffe do you have a central meeting place organised, íf so is it possible to maybe meet up with you somewhere there as I would love to see your vans?

Gidday Groovy Gramps will and Lyn are our names from Western Australia I think the eastern states group who are going maybe at coledale now unless they are on the mobile net system they may not read this post in time to respond I have a mobile that connects to the net and read the site daily so if you dont get an answer quickly until someone gets on the net then dont take offence I think some others may still read this they will be meeting up with the sydney and queenslanders later in the week

Hi guys I got a phone call from JBJ last night. The meanderers pull out of coledale today and they are heading down the coast to somewhere around Bemagui i think. Dennis was after Kingys number. He was going to contact them this morning and try and catch up with them on the way through Moruya this morning. Will and Lyn... Have a safe trip. I will catch you at Mt G on Monday arvo sometime.... stay cool.
Groovygramps.. welcome to the forum. Hope you can hook up with the crew somewhere on thier way to the Mount. If you go back over the posts on this thread you will see thier itenary.. Page 2 i think. I will send you a pm with JBJs mobile number and you can give him a call about saturday and see where the tour is up to andf maybe organise a meeting point from there.
Until then lets pray for a bit of relief from the heat in Vic and SA.
Reddo

Thanks Reddo for the pm - groovygranny (my wife) and I hope to catch up on Friday with the group somewhere. We are going to a vintage machinery/car rally/fun day weekend near Camperdown which is more inland than the coastal run - but we can take a detour. The coastal run to Apollo Bay should be a lot cooler because of the sea breeze. Happy holiday, groovygramps.
