Do you think Dennis that the removal of the valve caps could be a result of an attempt to let tyres down?....thats the only reasonable explanation I can come up with and it would fit the mantality of some imbiciles that are around!!!

Hi JBJ Somewhere in the beer induced stupour at munmorah someone said they would have loved to have come up to Wintersun but there was no sites left. Not even sure if they where a member of this forum as there was a few there that wheren't. I am sure the spare site will get snapped up by one of us before the day is over. well at least i would like to think it was gunna be. I dont wanna spend a week next to a bunch of yobbos with a clapped out VL commodore running a 10, 000 watt stereo. I will cop doof doof for a while but i will warn them "my name is redman ( hence red indian descent) .. I own an axe and .. i know how to swing it .. They could be going home in a "Top chop" in the true sense of the meaning. ;D Not long now mate.... Still aiming at squatting on your front lawn wednesday late arvo..... have esky .. will travel. Hey JBJ. Can ya check with the park managers and ask that we are all still parked in the one spot/group. Bit of a bugger if we get sprinkled around the park like hundreds and thousands. Makes it bloody difficult finding ya way back to your van through all the annexe and tent ropes in the dark after happy hour . Also better to be in one heap. That way we can keep an eye on each others gear if some of us arent around the van. With so many people in town i reckon there will be some low lifes that wouldnt hesitate to pick up a few goodies on the way through the park. Already lost and esky at Coledale.... but that was my fault for leaving beer in it overnight . They never touched the empty ones along the street. Been practicing my Elvis moves and bought a 5kg tub of brilcream Not long now. Cheers mate Reddontyousteponmybluesuedshoes

Hey , Humpties............... sorry to hear you can't make it to Wintersun
Had money on you Pete to win the "Elvis Sing -a- like" competition !!!!
Likewise Pete and Trish from Bribie.... will catch up on our next S E QLD run.
Ash and Deb are struggling to get their van and Kombie ready and finished in time.
Having trouble getting a towbar fabricated and fitted that won't interfere with the extractor system on the tough motor...... may have to run spare std. motor
Also paint blistered on the van..... has to repaint it !!!
They assure me they'll be there though....... even if they've gotta tow it themselves !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi all. left home wednesday daylight. caught up with Kingy and Maryanne at Telegraph point and motored on up to Lulus for a 10 minute break. keep at that sunliner rohan ya doin good mate. Strated raining near coffs and rain all the way to JBJs place.
Roof leaks on the TD so we stuck it in his carport for the night and carried out a few running repairs. Great night, BBQ on the verandah followed by too much beer.
I smashed the front window on the TD the next morning while hooking it up to the ute. Luckily the window i has sent up for Pete and trish was the wrong size for thier van and it was still at Dennis's place. fitted it and took off to kerra beach. Great camping ground. set up and headed down the street to check out the rods and rock and roll. Hundreds of cool cars. we partyed in The kingys annexe thurday night while the rain still flogged down. The nmattress and bedding in the TD was soaked due to leaking roof hatch. managed to dry a spot out with the fan heater. laid in bed sending and rexieving phone calls all night to and from trish giving a running commentry on our house being flooded. Ironic that the TD was suffering the same problem on the same night 600 miles away. Spent friday drying things out. Rang trish a few times. no point ibn rushing home. water had made it to the floorboards and then receeded. Spent friday night doiwn the street at the supewr cruise... Incredible!!! Shultzys and Kingys gettin a rise in the Jailbar ute . I lost them in the crowd and ended up walking home. We tried to party in the annexe at the back of the TD but it was bloody freezing. Snowing inland and an icey cold wind drove us all off to bed by 9.00pm. I rang trish saturday morning as i felt guilty about the work that they had done after the flood.I packed up and headed home.
Wintersun is a great event and brings thousands of people into the coolangatta/ tweed area. I will try and get back there next yeatr. Hopefully better weather and no floods at home. Matilda and the red morris copped it pretty bad in the floods as did the yard and sheds. read damage report for Barnsley under chippy daves central coast thread.
Cheers all Reddo

Hi all Well what a weekend away we all had. Reddo was not the only one who had a bit of bother with the van he took. Although Redo was the only one who was able to collect rain water inside his van. You can see the water running down the walls, and his heater trying to dry out enough of the bed to sleep on. This was us leaving our place on Thursday with our 2nd van, only getting rego on Monday. We arrived and set up the new van. it was the first time we were going to use it and expected a few minor problems. She towed like a dream and every one along the way gave us the thumbs up. We found out that know matter what you do, Matt at 6ft 7 will just not fit in a van that is only 5th 8 wide. So we had to take her all the way home and get the Teardrop with the queen size bed, to ensure we could get a good night's sleep. And people said that when we got the new van up and running we would never go back to the Teardrop I can not describe the number of cars out and about for Wintersun. Lets just say that this event is so big that it has its own radio station. As you can see in this photo the roads and parks are just full of cars. Wintersun is over near the middle and to the left of the photo. It's good to hear that Reddo made it home safe and sound, and it was great meeting up with Mr and Mrs Kingy, Mr and Mrs Spyder. it was also great catching up with the others that usualy come along on South East QLD events. PS:- Especially the contingent that came down from Cairns.... ;D ;D ;D Hey Dennis.. Suzann and Matt.

I saw Sutcac on the highway heading home on Sunday as I headed south to Brissy. What a sweet looking combo! I was wondering if the owner was a VV forum member and now I know, well done all it sounds like a great weekend despite the weather trying its best to spoil things for some.
