Yeah humps
About 170ks or just over 100miles. No big deal. Leave Munmorah about 9.30, loop the lake and be back in time for lunch. East side is 90 K zones to swansea and 60k zones from swansea on around to toronto. west side is mostly 80kph the other side of toronto.
A couple of hours would see ya back at koala park knocking down a steak sanga and a beer.
If you like we can hang a bit of twisty licourice off the mirror of the Eh so you can pretend your driving the truck with the CB handpiece hanging in front of you ;D ;D ;D. The 100miles will be over in a flash.

Hi V V There has been a bit of interest from a few clubs that are joining us at Koala Park on the Sunday. If you are in a Car Club and would like to invite them on the Sunday, please do so. The Chevrolet Club are making it a run destination and a couple other clubs have dropped in to check out the facilities. Looking forward to another great weekend. Ticko's

Hi John and Lynelle Redone the sums on loop the lake . it is only 90ks by road to circumnavigate ( reddos word of the day) the lake. Still works out at under 2 hours even with a break somewhere along the way.
Determined to have "Arty" the artificial teardrop there , so i am going flat out on him.
Other news Stayed at Morriset swap saturday night. The Trodlers where there in the green propert for the night. Had a yarn with Chippydave and his woman on sunday morning. I bought another handfull of campbells fitting and lenses. as well as 4 X 17" early chev wheels and tyres for $30. Looks like 2 salvagable rims and maybe 2 tyres worth hanging onto. for spares on the TD.... its all good bros
Munmorah is not that far off. cant wait. Reddo

News flash Temperatures in the lake area have taken a dip. Calling all "Spyders".... can you bring your stainless washing machine gizzards that you converted to a fire drum. Calling all Munmorites... hows about ya leav enough room in your tow car/van for a chaff bag full of firewood??? some people stayed from friday night through to monday ( three nights) if we get a run of cool weather we are gunna freeze our scrotes off. So..... bring wood, bring beer of plonk. No probs with a coffee break and a shed of invention tour Maurie. Hope to have "Arty TD " out of the shed by then and the old '48 in there for his turn on the make over table. If we are still running ahead of schedule we could do a hot lap up to Mt Sugarloaf about 5 k from our place. Great panoramic views from Port stephens in the north to wyong in the south... we can keep an eye on those that stay back at camp from up there . Its an easy climb without the van on the back. I am easy and can go with the flow . Will sort it out on the friday night over a few quiet gallons of our favourite juice. Reddo

Hi Rob and All V V We are staying at Koala Park, which is the recreation area just inside the main gate to Munmorah Power Station, Scenic Dr, between Doyalson and Tuggerah. Just let us know on this thread and you will be booked in. There are plenty of sites available. Also car Clubs are welcome to join us on Sunday 20th May for the National Motoring Heritage Day for the run or just as a destination for Lunch. Plenty of BBQ and undercover. Looking forward to a great weekend Ticko's

hi lynelle and john a couple of people (colin and sue) who visited our "festival" at coledale last year just contacted us and wish to be included in the munmorah event with their old viscount in tow, so can you include them as a booking for the weekend. (they also wanted to know whether or not the sites are powered). (looks like there might be another couple of members soon). it also looks like munmorah is getting as big as the coledale event. ;D ;D ;D thanks, geoff 'n jude

Billylids will be there (with their Dad), but not Belinda - I have to teach a first aid course that weekend for Search and Rescue. Next time you are lost in the bush and someone comes to fix your broken leg, you'll be able to thank me.
There will probably be a photographer at Munmorah to take photos (long story, ask Cobber). It's for a House and Garden article about "families having fun with their vans".

Hi Lynelle & John. Train rides.. we want model train rides . Who do we approach about getting that great trian complex up and running . Even if it is only for a few hours on saturday arvo i reckon there would be plenty of "big kids" keen for a run around the tracks ;D ;D ;D I seem to remember you saying that Lynelles bro ( The caretaker) does not look after that side of things but he might be able to contact the bloke that does . I am sure we could make it worth his while coming in for a few hours... beer.....$1 a lap of the track or something??? Heapsa fun Reddo

Very funny Reddo, your best so far i reckon! Was it inspired by the Toohey's Dry? We've had a bugger of a day down here in Exocetland today so it was very nice to be able to finish off the day with a good honest belly laugh!! Your humour is very much appreciated. But we hope everybody else had a wonderful mothers day! Cheers exocet
