Hi the Ticko's clan, Book us a sight please , we'll be there. Now where do we park - with the fibre glass or near the bondys? Maybe we should have prime spot as "ALI IS ETERNAL". (It is definitely time someone championed the poor ali vans - they get left out of all the debates over what is best) Over to you Reddo!!!! Geoff & Jude

Hello Morris sidevalve.... eeerrr Mr Fj55 i feel that you have posted your reply to the wrong forum. You mentioned "LOSERS". There is a seperate forum for the group you refer to. Try http://www.fibreglassfantasy@humptys .com.au if that link dont work try..... www.sunlinerolympiclosers.com.au. Next you refer to "desperate and annexeless... ooops DATELESS. May i take this opportunity to remind you to pack your squeeze Kate and the billy lids in the car this time and check they are actually in the holden before driving out of Horny hieghts . it is forgivable to forget the annexe pegs and poles but i find it difficult to comprehand how some one could leave town and driveoff leaving the entire family on the footpath without even noticing until you arrive home on sunday night . P.S Bring your own bloody can opener this time. that sh!t you where eating outta the bachelor tins this year has corroded my can opener to a point where it is only good for opening aluminium vans... and you know that only sardines and dog food live in aluminium cans. PLYWOOD ROOLS OK!!!!... just ask Doris Reddo

Hi Tickos,
I'm not sure if you have seen the thread General>2008 Calendar Plan, but I am planning to come along to Munmorah to get photos of vintage car/van rigs - to include in the 2008 Vintage Vans calendar. And hopefully to get a few articles on some of the rigs published in car/caravan/travel magazines.
My wife & I are a freelance writing & photography team and have written about 5 articles on WA vintage vans for a variety of magazines. And I produced the 2007 Vintage Van calendar.
One question: Where exactly will you stay at Lake Munmorah? I won't have a van - I live in Perth, so will fly to Sydney and pick up a rental car. I'm happy to contact the caravan park and book some on-site accommodation, or to stay somewhere nearby if they don't have any.
Regards, Papa Razzi

If I may..I would like to join all the fun people at Munmorah, and before Mr Reddo makes unfair accusations, I declare my desire to be there has nothing to do with the presence of Papa Razzi taking photos for the 2008 (and beyond) calendars Cobber.

Well, Well, Well... someone has been pest spraying ... look whats come out of the woodwork. ;D ;D ;D No mention of "the fossil" and the "second hand headmaster" comin' ta Munmorah a few weeks ago. like moths to the light bulb these 2 have been attracted by the sniff of national celebritism ( I might make that word of the day) and 15 minutes of fame I dont care about the paparazzi or the calander. I am gunna take a 2 man tent , a late model car .......and leave ALL my vans at home, so there Gunna take the worlds biggest esky stuffed full of beer . A mega Doof Doof stereo and make a real arse of my self all weekend and spoil it for the lotta ya. Papa watzit from W.A will have to wait while the "fibreglass stiff upper lippers" scrape eggs and tomatoes of their monstrosities. I have about half a dozen "Not suitable for human habitation "stickers for the Sun####rs as well Alloy van owners are gunna wake up to find "PAL dogfood" and "Irish Stew" labels stuck all over the sides of their tin cans. I might get the sticker makers at work to knock up a few "Quintrex on wheels" stickers...as well ;D ;D ;D This vintage van stuff is Bullsh!t ... and you are all carrying on like 2 year olds. Its a bloody disgrace. grown mem pushing and shoving to get there wrinkly dials and caravans into the bloody 2007 calander . Well i have done a bit of thinking and i reckon those that where there last year should be first choice for the calander. All these "Johnny come latelys" can get to the end of the line. Natural selection dictates that the entire twelve months of the calander shall be justly filled with pictures of BONDWOOD VANS. Anyone that chooses to think otherwise shall be hit witha salvo of 20KG watermelons and pumpkins followed by a barrage of rotten eggs all fired from my new howitzer slingshot that i have just finished developing in" the shed of invention" . Yep... Thats the way its gunna be at Munmorah 2007. No place for the faint hearted folks Reddon't forget to buy mum flowers the week before ( it might be the last time she sees ya alive) ;D

Jude wrote: "Jude - the protector of all things made of metal" Did i mention that Munmorah is near the lake.... A SALT LAKE Now i aint no eggspert on metals and corrosion but..... I have seen what salt does to tin cans. I would think twice about bringing anything other than TIMBER . " bring a little pack of friends ( termites/borers) with me". See what happens when ya buy a tin van. Only friends ya have are bloody annoying insects. Insects are gunna be of little use to you once your van and contents get "broadsided" by one of my concrete filled watermelons. Tin can Alley is gunna look like a scene form Hiroshima - 1945. Be warned: leave your grubs at home. Reddo

Hi V V's The 20th May is a 'National Day of Heritage Motoring' 8-)this is an Australia wide event and is on the Sunday that we are at Munmorah. It is a day where the car club & motorbikes etc want to be out and about and be seen by the nation. It is being promoted by Australian Historic Motoring Federation, CMC & Bush Council. Because we are already at Munmorah, I would like to propose to go for a drive leaving Koala Park (Munmorah Power Station Rec Park) about 10am, going for a drive and being back at Koala Park by noon for a BBQ using the facilities of the park. The organisers are looking for finishing venues for people to meet for lunch. Would it be OK if we invite other motoring clubs etc to join us here? Thanks Ticko's

HEYA TICK'S , GREAT IDEA ! HOW ABOUT A LAP AROUND THE LAKE , ANY LAKE WILL DO THERE'S ENOUGH UP THAT WAY . POSSIBLY LAKE MAQUARIE THROUGH WARNERS BAY , SPEERS PT , TORONTO , ETC AND BACK HOME . THAT FACILITY THERE COULD EASILY HOLD 100,s OF CLASSIC CARS AND THERE FAMILYS ON THE DAY WITH THE ROOM THEY HAVE GOT AND THE HUGE B.B.Q AREA . ALSO IF THE MINI TRAIN TRACK THERE COULD BE STOKED UP FOR THE KIDS THAT WOULD BE GREAT ALSO . SEE WHAT BROTHER JOHN CAN ORGANISE . MAYBE THE LOCAL LIONS CLUB COULD COOK AND FUND RAISE ALSO . MIGHT BE THE BEST PLACE TO BE ON THAT SORT OF AN ORGANISED EVENT DAY . REGARDS , MAURIE .

Hi Lynelle You could loop lake macqaurie a lot easier than tuggerah lakes Tuggerah/ entrance is famous for round abouts and traffic lights. The busiest stretch around lake mac is from swansea around to speers point.. but it is also the most scenic and plenty of dual lanes. we came that way to swansea on the East coast tour. better off coming up through swansea and having a catch up point at either speers point park or fennels bay park before blasting back into munmorah which is just on half hour south of fennels bay/ toronto. Once you are through Toronto there is only one or maybe 2 sets of lights before we get back to Hollywood. Maybe a whirlwind tour of the shed of invention with a 5 minute detour. Gunna have to be carefull leaving the fibreglaas mob with pappy razzi .. i can see the entire 12 months of next years vint van calander being full of egg shells. reddo
