I've been away from the site for a spell. Weekend of the 27th. OK. I should be a goer for this. Probably by myself again, as I can't get the other half too enthused about anything with moving parts. (cars, bikes, vans, and the like). I see LovShack Dave is already making excuses for avoiding the dance floor. Drag him up there, Pat, even if he has to hop. Will, when you say Pioneer Village, do you mean the carpark for the village, or the Pub entrance that fronts the Highway to Harvey?

;D Hi all in the world of Vintage Caravans Well the second memorial run for Trevor Roberts was a success our first was in Brunswick Junction not long after Trev passed away as a mark of respect so we returned to Harvey a pretty little town around a 160 kilometres from Perth You could say that this was the birthplace of our great Vintage Van group where our original first ever run was held It was a total success we had over 30 people turn up 4 kids who had a good time exploring the park and playing games we welcomed special guests in Nashty His wife Sharon owners of Real Steel Rods and Shorty a close friend of theirs Nashty has built a unique Teardrop I will try and post a photo of it All the West aussie crew were there except Tucky and noeleen ( the Plymouth Brethren) who are still holidaying in there prize winning vintage Van and Rod (both Morgan and Barmera took top car and van ) Billy and Pat Cork were still finish there Chevy They have just finished there 50 Chevrolet the brakes were the only thing holding them up Billy has just put 4 wheel disc brakes a 308 with auto and a fairlane diff into it and painted it Jet black (bloody kopy Kat) so September week long annual spring run is looking good for them We booked 24 into the local pub great meals but overpriced drinks hows $16.40 for 1 tooheys extra dry and a full Tia maria and milk (say no more) oh yeah Sandra Noble was in the wars while she was home from work on compo with a Sprained wrist she fell over and twisted the knee and done some ligaments however she came to the run on crutches she had chicken for tea and contracted food poisoning Imagine that getting up all night to go to the toilet with crutches (poor Darling) we had some speeches which were kept to a minimum (definately not a club) Carrots came and we presented her with 3 pictures of Trev to pass on to there sons as they lost all there belongings in the fire The Pooh bah thanked all for coming Snail informed us of the itinerary for the september weeklong run to Kalbarri other than that we had a great time with all of the great people in our group lots of friends were made with two new members Hillbilly and Jenny and Ron and his lovely Family Dave and Pat cooked a special dinner for potsy and Joe and Roger entertained his lovely lady friend Helen Escape pod Andrew brought his niece and nephew who had fun around the park and checking out the country Sunday markets Lotsa talking checking vans and cars and our usual late Saturday night fun drinkys and chat till the early hours Thanks to the New park Park owners who supplied us with cakes and snacks great Caravan park great town and another Top vintage van weekend Will and Lyn ;D ;D

Nah, Will. That was my daughter, Escapepod-ette. ...But it was my nephew who terrorised Dave, by waving flaming branches over his head. When I asked him along, all he wanted to know was were we going to have a fire? ...That's why all the timber vans were parked at the far end.

Hi W.A lers Great pichas. Looks like ya's had a good roll up. Lovely vans and cars in a beaut van park Can someone tell me who owns the little bald gnome pictured in front of Marks Chev ::)and also spotted propped up in a deck chair wearing a GM t shirt with phone grafted to his left ear. Looks like a character out of "fantasy island".... The plane boss.. the plane!!! Good to hear yas had a great time . I am sure Trev would have been watchin over you lot and made arrangements with "the boss" to supply you with good weather . Reddo.... from the far side.
