Hi Guys, thanks from bert and jan for a great spring tour. jan had so much fun ,shes already bought a van!! hey is anybody interested in a carandvan gymkana? done a bit of legwork we can use the showgrounds for events, the bridgetown club has offered the use of their bar and a pig on a spit nite and i think we can throw in 15 km bus trip to view a collection of old cars and busses. who says we cant drink and drive!! one of the events were looking at is car jousting,so girl if your man is a knight in shining armour whos proud of his horses(under the bonnet) send him down to drive for your honour! sir WILL if you read this could you and the lovely princess LYN help me out with music you are asked back by popular demand as your last bridgetown tour was a total sellout cheers mate. WHERE BRIDGETOWN, WHEN LABOURDAY WEEKEND. WHAT CARANDVAN GYMKANA WHY FUN FOOD FRIENDS (and grog offcoarse) let us know what you all think and well get the wheels rollin cheers bert

hey mark, labour day weekend is sat 3 rd sun 4th mon 5th march 2007 its probably the only time gazza aka (snail ) will get to take all his vans to ,at the same time! hey how did you go at the cannington swap meet? we did a 600 km round trip just to say g day to you!! but jan said it was worth it,, hey you wanna van down to bridgetown this weekend ,the blues are on stop here if you like, cheers bert

would luv to come to the blues Bert .....but have too much happn'n here at the mo ...........life's busy
no good at the swap .....bought nothing ......should've stayed home and watched the start of bathurst ......
I normally go to the Bendigo swap ......next week I think, but not going this year unfortuneately .......

this sounds good.....The fc fe car club thought they might do the same thing that weekend and stay at the caravan park...would there be any objections to joining forces, some of the fc fe group will be tenting it as they dont have vans,,,,let us know how you feel.......Regards Gemma

hi gemma, sorry i havent got back to you sooner, ive been working up north, hey yu guys are more than welcome,you should be able to stay at the showgrounds, i will check with john russell ,weve also sent invites to the holden club who are in boyanup that weekend ,and the ford ace club has also put it in their social calander. well put up a trophy for the ford versus holden events! were in the proccess of trailing the events and are having a ball already!!gonna be a great weekend, will keep you posted, cheers bert

hi guys sorry i havent got back to you sooner,took some time to get prices ,but heres the update for the bridgetown motorkama , long weekend in march.
saturday ,, lunch in town, trip to the mine look out and the discovery center in greenbushes,around 2 ish. a shire pub crawl ( 1 drink per pub) shamrock hotel, and exchange hotel greenbushes. back to bridgetown where we visit the scotts tavern, freemasons hotel and the bridgetown hotel and then to the bridgetown club for a barby tea cooked for you for $10 per person this is all by bus.
sunday brekky is at the showgrounds $10 per person bacon eggs snagstoast cereal and juice this is put on by the girls from the terminus and primary school. events start at 10 they consist of 5 events, there is a garage race, a blind pylon race a pick a distance drive a soccer race and ofcourse the joisting event some are timed some are on points, trophies will be awarded. these events require 2 people per car and entry is $10 per driver so you can swap people and use the same car. lunch will be available during the day as well as drinks. trphy presentation will be at the bridgetown club that evening, tucker will be a spit roast the band weve booked are old school rockabilly. cost for the evening,is $25 camping at the show grounds is $ 10 per person per night this supports the local agricultural society.
monday is a bus trip to lewy chevrolets place to have a look at a collection of yesteryear stuff and a stop off at doc scotts to have a look at some amazing old coaches as well as an old van that could well be for sale. a gold coin donation would be a great thing to help out the bus driver with fuel. should finish round lunchtime , to give you guys that are travling time to get home, thanks ,gemma i will give you a call,be good to see you again will and lyn have put your names down. if ive missed something please ask,,, o the ford ace club have put us in their calander, the holden club have only one member coming down so far, but we have some good local response, plus your club fe fc gunna be fun weekend the more the merrier best regards bert
