S series, couda and a homemade, what a trio!!! We also have a homemade, but sadly no Chryslers at the moment, but have had plenty in the past and will no doubt in the future, once they're in your blood , well what can i say! Your homemade is not unlike ours, ''Dorothea'' is dated about 1952 and is 12ft 3'' long. Is your Chrysler addiction been a long one? I still remember the day my dad traded his 3 yr old EH on a AP6 Val wagon and never looked back, although we used to look back often at the traffic lights to see the car that dared to try and beat us off the mark!! Won't mention any brands because we have to be a bit diplomatic here LOL LOL LOL . You've got a coupla class cars there, and incidently i have seen a photo of your barracuda, my brother and nephew went to the Chryslers on the Murray and took a photo of it! GO CHRYSLERS!*#

Good to see you could make it to Coledale & the tour prior 54' h/made, you won't be dissapointed, it's a great week. Good combo's you have there with your cars and van, looks a well built van. Being built in '54 it's sure to be well made, bloody good year that for quality stuff ;D ;D Looking forward to meeting up with you on tour - Kingy -- Looking at the size of your annexe, be prepared to have it full of bods and eskys if it rains of a night while on tour

Nice combo of van and vehicle Diane (both of them - 'S' type and Barracouda). Not often you see such a nice match between the van and the annexe either, so congratulations. I look forward to seeing some internal shots of the van when you have time. You'll appreciate the size of the annexe if you have family or visitors staying with you (not to mention Kingy dropping by ;D). We have a 10' x 12' annexe - possibly about the size of yours I think? We have slept up to 10 or 11 in the van and the annexe when we've been 'visited' (invaded?) by a group of our sons' friends. Not that you want to do that too often when you're supposedly on holiday, but hey, we appreciate the fact that our sons are happy to own us and their friends are willing to drop in... And that's what V V'ing is all about Happy vanning in your lovely van. Don Ricardo

Dear Firefighter, Exocet, Kingy, Don Ricardo, Bradngem and Reddo. Thanks for all your great comments re: our van. Yes I agree that the colours on the van and annex are a great match, we were very lucky. Yes Don Ricardo I do think that our annex's are the same size. Except for the first test day - we haven't put the whole annex up (just roof) since we have had it and I must admit that you have put the fear of god into me with saying that you have slept 10 or 11 in your van and annex. What with your comments and Kingy saying that we might have a full annex on the tour - we might just have to leave it at home. Only kidding!!! Hey Kingy you mentioned that 54 was a good year for quality stuff - are you trying to say that you were born that year??? or is your van also made in that year. Exocet it's a shame that we are so far away from you (I don't suppose you are going to Coledale are you??) You and Alan could have bent each other's ears for ages re: Chryslers. I have always been interested in cars, but I was required to refine my tastes over the last 14 years as Alan has Chrylser tunnel vision. I think he purchased his first car at age 15 or 16 and then his first Chrysler at 18 and hasn't looked back since then. His father also had alot of Chryslers over the years. Besides the Barracuda and the White "S" we have another two "S"s, a 1959 Dodge Custom Royal and two 1958 Plymouth Belverdere (like Christine the movie). They are all in various states of slow to very slow resto. I know what you mean about beating people off the lights - i've always been a very relaxed and carefull driver but the Barracuda brings out the hoon in me on occassions. Alan is even worse than me and he has turbo charged the "S" so that's even faster, but great for towing the van. So Reddo we are NÂș 13 on the tour are we. That's not an unlucky number for me - so it's all good. Hope you had a happy 54th birthday yesterday and managed to wake up this morning without too much of a hangover!! Regards Di

Hi All,
I spent a bit of time with Norm this weekend sorting out bookings & so far it looks like no - one will be over the causeway at this stage.
So Reddo , no need for a pick & shovel.
Norm has pencilled the smaller vans in for up behind the surf club in case of lousy weather.
What lousy weather at Coledale, never!!!!!.
Norm actually rang us Friday morning before we left home & told us the sun was out, not sure where it went , but was long gone by the time we got there.
Still not totally sure of the number of vans attending, somewhere between 43 & 45 at this stage. We culled a few as some people were booked in twice & have to make a few calls to sort out a few other bookings, so all is looking good for a big weekend at Coledale.
See ya all there & don't forget if you haven't put your name down for dinner & are interested please let us know
Jude & Geoff

Hi all, Just a suggestion for Coledale dinner dress. Lets have a Halloween theme, witch's wizards, spooks ,ghosts. I'm sure the children big and small would enjoy it. Thats my suggestion so come on put your thinking caps on, We had Hawaiian last year. Boots ,alias Mrs JB. Hi all, Following Boots great suggestion of a Halloween theme with witch's wizards, spooks and ghosts etc. Before I grab some black material and get out the sewing machine, can someone please confirm that this is the theme that's been agreed upon? Many thanks Diane

Hi Diane ;D I know where i can get a Bundy rum bear outfit.... might dye it black with silver stars and go as a "Grizzly Rum Swilling Wizard Bear " that should frighten the kellogs outta the kiddies. To be honest i dont think it will matter too much what sort of witch, wizard you turn up as. Most of us will be suffering alcohol induced blurred vision by the time saturday nights dinner comes around anyway. I can do a magic trick to keep the kids entertained. I put a rabbit in my hat and pluck a hare (hair) out of my B:oM. Oh dear ...... ::)i have been asked to leave the room again Put me down ya big oaf... put me down Reddozwizard

hi tickos
we were at coledale over the apec weekend and bumped into a couple of guys from the illawarra mercury.
we mentioned the coledale gathering of v.v's and they said they would definitely be there to do a story on the v.v mania.
a gentle reminder to them would be a good idea if you want to give them a buz.

Hi C/D,
Norm has opened the whole park up for us, the other side of the ditch, creek or bridge (not sure which to call it) is there for anyone to use if their cars will get across, it's pretty steep & could cause damage to the underside of some cars.
He would also like to see the smaller vans up behind the surf club in the cul de sac, after last years gale, but if the owners want the same spots it's OK
Most people have re booked the same sites as last year, so if anyone new is unsure about anything, Norm will be able to help. We will be there from Wednesday & I think Maurie will be there earlier than us ( & no Earlee isn't gonna be late this year, Marvin has taken over his spot).
Will probably go & see Norm next weekend so if any more info comes along will pass i t on Jude & Geoff

Battern down the hatches and bring me the wench that calls herself Trisha Mr Christinen.. check on the galley slaves....,.Yo, ho, ho and a bottle.....
