Hi veedubnut,
Wayne & Sharon ( sugarshack) are Mr. & Mrs Magrin.
you'll see a few pix of their van, cars & selves if you look. We enjoyed their company, & all of the others on Reddos Tour.
Unfortunately at Coledale, a lot of us didn't get to meet one another, for various unknown reasons. Some people are quieter than others, some seemed to forever walk in different directions, at various speeds. I dont think I personally met more than 75% of the forum members that were there, over the period of 3 days
I know it took me 4 hours once to get from my van to Reddo's, a distance of maybe 400 metres maximum. It was pretty full on at times.
I'm not posting any pix at this stage, cause I cant find where Sue has stored our camera, & most of what I took has been posted already.
Same for words. Most has been said, & Sue & I, Izabelle & Chymeira totally enjoyed enjoyed our time on the tour & at Cold Dale. We will be back next year, hopefully with a better tow vehicle & our Sunliner.
Thanks Reddo for everything ( a fantastic effort well executed), Will & Lyn for the Karaoke( & your company for the last couple of days), & everyone at both events for being themselves.
See you all next year, if not sooner. Jailbarjuice & Sue

It's all been said. It's been run and won. If you weren't there then you should have been. Don't miss '07. Kelloggs approached jailbarjuice to do a commercial but they couldn't pay him enough. Cap'n Reddo in regalia, sutcac supporting bundy juice "You came away on an interstate run..... and didn't check your wheel bearings. Spell the word G O O S E, sutcac". Col fixin sutcac's bearing collapse. And the best looking couple award for saturday night goes to Mr and Mrs Humpty.

Hi Gang, Had a guy bail me up just after we did lap of Mt. panorama on Reddo's tour and he told us his mum had a bondy in the shed 20 klms outa Bathurst, so followed him out and was greeted with this little number, and it's for sale. The van would'nt take much to get back on the road (last rego'd in 1999) main repair being to the rear just above the chassis line. I told ''the kiss'' about it at Coldale but don't know if they followed it up or not. Its very much like our van in appearance size etc. If anyone is keen i still have the phone number to pass on Kingy

G'DAY WAYNE & SHARON , Thanks for the great photie of KATE , what a shame i got my "noggin" in the way ! I was trying to get into her hat , makes a change , i am usually trying to get into her pants ! ;D Anyway thanks for your company at the Kareoke night and over the weekend , what a great event ! I managed ,over four days at Coledale , to " touch base " with 30 of the 31 V Vers . The only one that slipped under my radar was Ray (roehm) and his well feed Jack Russell . I saw him from a distance but didnt get a chance to introduce myself , slippery little sucker ! So all in all a terrific time had by my beautiful family , with new friendships made with people from all over Australia that share the same hobby as us . Kate and the kids had a fantastic "OLD FASHION HOLIDAY " ,and are looking forward to COLEDALE '07 . REGARDS , MAURIE . p.s great to see so many classic tow vehicles turn up ,about 25 out of 31 . (especially the early HOLDENS) . p.p.s Lets make it 60 V V 's next year !!!!!!!!!

Hi All While at Coledale "Casper" turned up with his Pontiac hearse and camera and took some very professional photos of a few of the tow cars on their own... unhitched from the vans. I ordered a framed print off him at 3.00pm saturday arvo and he turned up that night at the dinner and kareoke with the picture finished in a beaut frame .... $45. He mentioned that he can supply a disc with the rest of the photos he took of the ute. So the purpose of this email is twofold. One i wanna give the mans business and photography skills a plug and recommend that we maybe use him to submitt photos for a 2008 vint van calander. He is a subscriber to this forum and has a couple of old vans and towcars so why not support him??? I am here at work and cant remeber the name of his business ... something like "auto-graphics" from memory?? Second request : Has someone got caspers contact number Its probably all on the back of that great picture i have on the wall at home. cheers Reddo

Hi Spyder Mate... you'll never get a job at the newspapers... Like i mean this aint breaking news old china. Nuther thing. The fodos look a bit discriminative ( shit theres another big word after 4 longnecks) How come there is a whole pile of that cancer causing stuff in one heap. Looks like a buncha Dodos eggs 'ave been dumped in da carpark ;D. i have a similar shot from last year... same angle same spot . more appealing with plywood vans sharing some of the scene Just goes to show ya need to book your spots early folks so that ya dont end up spending your leisure time next to a buncha aliens and havin ya holidays ruined. Re: "Taken at Berry..... I love it.... Tell um i will buy it if they throw in the allien standing beside it . Someone has given some serious thought to streamlining and coefficient of drag... coefficicence of drag ...... Jeeeez mate... thats the most technical term i have used this year. Gunna buy it and paint Kookaburras on the side of her. Waddya reckon spyder>> Coooool or wat ;D Bloody bewdy mate. Whooooooaaa up..... hang on.... It aint fibreglass is it Reddontputshitonaliens

humpty
oh yes, but they were hoping that not too many others did!!!!!
my brother, who just bought the brown and cream sunliner from newcastle has been negotiating with the owner to buy 'the alien' for about a month, but as yet, without success.
i was also told about it by a workmate who saw it down there last weekend and mentioned it to me because he knew i had an interest in old vans.
at this point the van is not for sale, but maybe there is "an offer to good to refuse" that can change the owners' mind .
how about posting the pictures of the interior.

Ok then you guys.........if he wont sell it .... I am gunna steal it . I 'll have ya know I've got contacts in low places . Lemme see...whats that midgets name that drives the black eff 100. We'll head round there in total darkness, with black commando outfits and pinch it from right under his nose . Plan is to create a diversion by sending "The midget" in first. He can keep the rottweilers entertained ( and fed) while i hook up the "Tardis" and escape . No-one will notice a flamed 1954 Ford ute with a totally unique one off van heading off up the princes Hwy with a partly mauled screaming little bald guy running close behind hotly persued by two irate burgalar eaters ;D. Its you and me Will .....waddya reckon me old decoy mate. I'll let ya drive the truck if i see any red and blue flashing lights coming up behind us. ;D Geez i hope no -one else see this post and steals our idea Warp speed captain kirk. Reddo

Hi V V ers
The Alien you are all refering to was a Cordell caravan built in Sydney about 1955 I think? The van was sold on ebay last year for around the $1200 mark, where it had been parked for the last 28 years and used as a sleep over at a small holiday shack at Erowal Bay , just south of Nowra. With the original owners coming from Canberra.
Who is Jules Vern?
How do I know all this? The van was about 4 houses away from my holiday house down the coast.
Cheers Trodler.

Hopefully it will be at Coledale next year.
