Lynelle, Dont think i'm a dummy but when you say the coast road do you mean down Stanwell tops then along to Coledale. Reason i ask is i thought of going that way due to the Austins mechanical brakes it would probably be easier i think. Any views welcome. regards don

Hi Lynelle, My son in law does film catering and has a huge truck fitted out for on site functions, would you like me to ask him if he is interested in feeding us all - he is DAMN good. My daughter was here earlier tonight & I mentioned it to her and she said it all sounds like fun & if they came down they would bunk in with us for the night. If you want I can ask him if he if free and how much per head - ha can do the salads, rolls, plastic plates etc - even desert if we want. I don't want to step in over any arrangements already made - just a suggestion. Let me know if you would like me to get any more info Judy

Hi All Don, in regards to the coast road, it is the best option now with the new bridge ;Detc. There is one steep bit into Stanwell park , but is a lot better than Bulli Pass especially from the North. Geoff & Jude Yes please, all options can be considered. Thanks.

Hi Tickos, I just spoke to my daughter and Andy said it would be about $18-20 per head for meat, salads, bread rolls & some desert. Don't know how that compares to the guy you have spoken to. I will leave it with you and the others going how much they want to pay Jude

Hi Ticko I am with the "Official Old fart" on this one. ( See Cobber there is more than one of you on this forum ) Put Reddo down for two meals. Not sure who from home is coming on the tour with me or weather i have to pick up a passanger from Chez Reddos on the way south past home on the thursday of the tour heading to Munmorah. but i will reserve 2 meals at the official Coledale Hawian Louwou feast saturday night. If No other Reddoite comes with me i will pay for 2 and have seconds ... what a pig!!! I reckon if people a fairdinkum enough to show there intentions via an email here on this thread then thats should be good enough to work out the catering. Pay on the day and surrender your meal ticket to someone who is in charge of dolling out the tucker usually works OK. it doesnt hurt to have half a dozen extra meals ordered in the catering for those that where too slack to let you know that they intended having a meal with us on the night. I am off to the dress makers today to get measured up for my Hula Dress grass skirt. getting a bone put through my nose and 6" rings put through either nipple. .... What... wha.... waddya mean it aint gunna be fancy dress on saturday night?? I thought with the beach as a backdrop it would be a hoot having everyone rock up in some sort of beach theme outfit......Me as a hawian tribal chief all polished up in black boot polish, Cobber as the tribal elder being carried in on a bamboo throne: , Humpty and spyder in the safari suits that they promised to wear last year toteing elephant guns, pith helmets and monicals. JBJ , John Ticko and Will doin the Haka ...... now that would be scarey Hmmmmm... now where do i go for a lai..........no not that sort of lay you sickos ;D Reddo Fulla bulla

Hi All, Time to bite the bullet!!! Our pixie van is progressing at a reasonable pace and all looks well now to book for Coledale. The inside painting etc etc etc....is nearing the end. Now we won,t have all the restoration done but the old girl is looking quite good. Now its time to register the van & fit the EH Holden out for towing. We decided to use the EH for a tow car as the FC is now on historic plates. So I will book with Norm shortly. Fcdriver

Hi fcdriver
I was just reading some of the earlier Coledale posts and saw that you come from Cootamundra. I used to live there 15 years ago and did so for most of my life. With only 6,500 people there maybe we know each other!

You can put my name down for the spit roast ;D There is only myself but, you also better add Bigdidda I'm not sure if he has added his name to the growing list of Coledale diners!
The Teardrop is almost fully completed now just finishing touches to be done.
Fingers crossed it does not rain
Cheers

Website fund raiser reminder. Hi All. Its 22/8/2006 . 10.00am In exactly 7 weeks/6days/23hours (Why didnt ya just say 9.00am Sunday 22nd October ya dickhead.!!!) we will be drawing the raffle at Coledale. Yeah righto i am bound to get those that say that it was 8 weeks from last sunday but i thought i would at least give everyone a reminder that we will be running a raffle of donated goods at Coledale. Idea is to have everyone attending donate a raffle prize ( ya can donate more than one if ya wanna). Myself and anyone else willing to grab a raffle book and sell a few tickets will be selling tickets from Friday arvo through to sunday 10.00am. ALL money raised will be going to Mark Taylor to help with the running of this fabulous site and forum. We have over 30 vans attending this year and if we get the crowd of locals attending like we did last year its a golden opportunity to scoop in a heap of bucks and put our site on"easy street' for a few years. I was thinking that $2 ea or 3 for $5. for tickets is fair . If we make em 5 for $1 you will be busier than a Newcastle parking cop and be there all day writing out tickets. It looks like my young bloke Joel will be hooking up with us at Munmorah for the run south on Friday at the end of the week long east coast spring tour - " Caravanning with the Delinquents". I should have plenty of room to store the donated goodies either in the van or under the tarp of the Ute. Maybe during the day i can leave the tarp off and arrange things in the back of the ute on display. I would love to see the ute full of goodies like a big xmas stocking. I promise i wont drink any of the donated beverages or do a runner back to Newy with the treasures The plan is to have a Whiteboard or a sheet of Butchers paper nailed up somewhere with the list of donated items (as well as who donated them if you like ) so that people can see what is on offer and also acknowledge those who donated something. Same as what the Poo Bah done with the cash donations on the website. Anyway i am sure everyone is aware of the raffle by now . This post is just a reminder to all. Thank you linesman... thank you ball boy!!. Reddo.. Chook raffler to the stars.

Hi folks Just sprung a message from Will and Lynn. They had planned to leave us on the spring tour after Muswelbrook day 4 and travel north to QLD to look at a bit of real estate. Cobber is currently in Perth .....hmmmm I wander if there is something important happening over there that we need to know about... Could be something like the opening of a Vint caravan museum ....or maybe the unthinkable anyway Cobber has convince W&L to stick with us for a few more days and make a guest appearance at Coledale. Will .. I have rang Coledale to book you a site as requested in your message under "hinges and waterproofing" and they have 48 sites. Jim the temp caretaker said that you should be in like Flynn. Would pay to phone Norm when he gets back in a bit over 2 weeks time and confirm your booking. Glad to hear ya can hang around a bit longer.... Onya Cobber!!! Reddopenallhours
