Hi Everyone
We went to Coledale Yesterday and booked the same site we had this year. Norm has booked the whole park for us. (but sites need individual names on them). There are now 5 sites already booked. Casper also booked in again for next year. They will probably even stay this time!!!! Maurie, the Dwyers day is not a regular booking each year so we don't need to worry about that. We will just make sure between Casper, Hd Todd and us that it doesn't clash with this weekend.

Norm says he is happy to have me back again, but if i turn up with any jailbar Juice i will be leaving in the back of Caspers Pontiac hearse...... except this time i wont be breathing. she'll be right mate, i will just change the label to "Indian Root Beer" .... Root Beer the mind bogles ;D!!! Reddo

Hallo all, Well you all made it sound like one hellavu time,so I booked in as well. And if the brakes on the Austin should live up to their questionable capabilities, Ray may have another Propert for the fleet. Does anyone know if dragging an anchor behind a car is ok? ;D ;D

G'DAY JBJ , Good to hear you have booked in for next year at Coledale Beach . What a great location , and only $15.00 bucks a night , per site ! WOW Interstate visitors , pretty blood good ! We will have to try and get some of those Mexicans interested also and we might end up with a little old V-V NATS , COOL . Was it you who said they grew up around Woolongong , if not , Coledale is about 30mins north of the "GONG " . If you want to break up your trip , before going through Sydney , i am on the northside , at Hornsby Hts , 10 mins off the highway. Your welcome to stay the night for a meal and a shower . The next day i could lead you through Sydney to get to Coledale . Anyhow , look forward to meeting you , all the best . REGARDS , MAURIE . "KEEP HOLDEN ON" p.s we got 15 vans this year without much effort or promotion , imagine what could be ? , if we pushed the event ...........30, 40, 50 beaut old caravans all lined up in a row ! COOOOOO 8-)OOOOOOL ! SEE YA THERE ! p.p.s I will probably hook up with MR REDDO now he has seen the light and got himself an FJ van , and cruise with him in my FJ ute into Coledale . YA GOTTA HAVE A UTE ! ( OR VAN ) p.p.p.s KERO - ALLEY RULES !

Hello Guys and Girls
I'll be there next year as well with the VW and Teardrop, I have booked the site next to Bigdidda's Propert in Kero Alley... I'll have to pass on the wife swapping thing though hahaha
I'll definately have the Teardrop's restoration completed in time
Take care all

Just booked in for Coledale, not sure what site I'll be on but it will encourage me to get the van finished, that's if the rain ever stops. I'm hoping to replace the right hand side this weekend but I don't like my chances.

Does anyone know how many are going to Coledale at the moment? And while we're on the subject of rain, if it does'nt stop up here soon, I might be floating down to Motorfest. (that'll sure save worrying about the Austins' brakes) ;D ;D don

Hi All
I was on a vintage motorbike hunt last saturday. Blew a tyre at Waterfall. fitted the spare and rolled down into the "gong: to get a new tyre fitted while we had a look at a norton and have some lunch. Ended up sitting on the grass at coledal C/V park. Caught up with Norm while he was out pedalling around the 50 campsites . The place is really full at the moment. School Hols...... He showed me the site bookings on the computer........ vvvveeeerrrryyyy impressive. the place is filling up fast. He did mention that one of the permanents have moved off site. Only permanent i can remember was up behind Norms office. Anyway this means there is an extra powered site available this year if anyone wants it.
Ended up buying the Norton , fitting the new tyre, travelled to nowra, bought a BSA , then up through Kangaroo valley to Golbourn swap meet. Sold a couple of old jappo trail bikes to help pay for the tyre.
Better watch the bank account buying all these pommy bikes or i will end up hitch hiking to Morgan.
Reddo - Heading to Wanagaratta after Motorfest... theres this bloke with a 1930 BSA sloper 500 and he only wants.....

Hi Kingy
Not sure which weekend it is myself now. quickest way to find out is dial 12455 and tell the operator "Coledale Caravan Park" - they will give ya the number.... or spend some time lookin through the Coledale 2005 posts and you will find the number there.
Norm the caretaker has the date for 2006 etched into his skull.... so he will be able to tell you off the top of his head what date it is on..and get ya booked in . Ask him for a non snoring site...... First weekend after NSW school hols. I dunno when that is... I ran away at recess on my first day at school and never went back...
Cheers Reddo

Hi Will Too Right Mate. All Australian Boys need a caravan ... and a shed according to John Williamson I go through preliminary divorce negotiations every time i bring another vintage treasure home. No matter whether its old Nortons, Old Holdens, Old caravans , ....Old.....Old... old.... Younameits . They all get the same reaction from "her Indoors"..... First its the blank stare ,interupted only by the occassional blink and punctuated with a frown or facial distortion as i glide up the driveway with the "you name it" in tow. Then there is the female "Ritual of acceptance" where she waits till i head off for a pee or a bicky and she'll do a few circuits around the object in ever decreasing circles ( sorta like a tom cat about to leave his sent or maybe its just "Horizontal gravity" drawing her closer) until temptataion overcomes her and she starts touching it . Lemme tell ya fellas I have used this tactic of avoiding eye contact or verbal confrontation in the early stages of shock on many occassions and have found it very effective... sorta like a cooling off period where they can either collect her thoughts and mellow out or...... plan a full on assault on you. The good thing about this plan fellas is that if the "evil one" decides to murder ya, well ya can die contented knowing you have just enjoyed a pee and a bicky before being slaughtered ;D ;D ;D Where was i... Oh that s right ... the female ritual.... By the time i get back to the trailer she has usually mellowed and i get questions like >>. "What the bloody hell ya gunna do with a pile of shit like this??" Its around about then that i sense that all is good an acceptance has been granted. Woman .........are like vintage caravans. Ya gotta have at least one around the place.....even if they do cause ya grief on the odd occassion. I put all this trauma and needless grief down to woman lacking the "Y" chromozone". Thats the bright spots in amongst us males crainium grey matter. These "bright spots " are full of brilliant long term ideas for restoration etc no matter what the cost... Lets face it ... we are born "visionarys... optomists". Unfortunatley the bright spots can be like meteors and dull off after the euphoria of the purchase enters earths atmosphere and they burn up in the "real world". or worse still collide with the female "X" chromozone and never see the light of day. Somewhere over the next few weeks after purchase of ...."The Treasure".... we get hit with ... "Have you seen all the bills on the fridge door???..... Water rates... land rates... phone bill.... Little Johnny needs new sox .... Ralph needs braces.... Little Willy need s a bigger Willy. ....... Ya coulda paid 'em 6 times over if that pile of caravan splinters down the yard hadnt followed you home!!! You, you you ... dickhead you.... "Awww Geez darl i thought i had done good!!!" I am sure there is a million other stories out there of Males being deprived of the chance of restoration forfillment. Here is another reason why i got involved in vans. They have 2 wheels just like a motorbike but without that noisey, leaky, smelly, unreliable lump of cast iron ( motor) to propel it down the road. Reddo.... Without a wife ..... ::)ummmm .....There is no wife Without a Hobby....... There is no life ;D.
