NEWS FLASH!!! I beleive that Gasser Gav from Cruzin magazine is calling into Fingal on his way back from the Yamba Hot Rod Run to snap some photos and do a story on vintage caravans for his magazine. They did a feature in last months magazine on some early vans also!! Cheers, Santa28a

CANCELLATION
Grumble, moan ,whinge............... Wifes birthday Sunday . Plans do not include a party at Fingal beach. No ....... instead i will be subjected to the pleasures of the mother in law and every other inlaw you can think of coming around home and drinking my fridge empty.
i think Trishas decision to enforce the "detention" may have something to do with me not having a weekend at home since Coledale. Motorbike rallies, car shows , etc have worn her patience thin. Best i behave. Mind you i have offered to take her to all these events .
Sorry fellas. Next time .... hopefully.
Reddo - here for a good time ... not a long time.

sorry to hear the bad news Reddo. So that you dont get withdrawal you should park the van in the backyard and sleep in it anyway. And hide a stash of beer in the van fridge where the inlaws wont find it. ;D ;D earlee

Hi
We got home and a few minutes later there was a knock on the door. A very nice man in a police uniform was standing there. It would appear someone was a little concerned about the foot hanging out the back kitchen area and notafied the police, who just had to investagate. They left with smiles on there faces. They did not say not to do it again so the foot stays. I will post photos soon. We had a great time at Fingal, looking forward to doing it all again some time soon. Wintersun sounds like a good time. But sometime sooner would be ok too.. ;D ;D ;D

Thinking about it mabye Earlee has just hit his head on Santa's window. I think that port hole's may be a better option. Jailbar has a pretty good idea where to get some PORTHOLES ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Hi to the Fingal Five.
Looks like you had a great weekend. Good mix of people, vans and tow cars. Fingal looks like a nice spot with plenty of trees for shade. Did the sandflies give you a hard time???
Glad to see that you have mastered photo bucket JBJ You have done a great job.
As they say "A picture speaks a thousand words"
I had a giggle after reading the seperate post from Schultzy about the cops coming around to check out the "Foot" . I reckon they will still be giggling.
Reddo

We were last to arrive as i had to work saturday and last to leave ;D BUT the reason we were last to leave was that mrs santa wanted to go shopping up at Kingscliff and go visit some friends on the Sunday and while there, and we got a sniff of what I thought was a sunliner!! We tracked down the owners and had arranged to go and check it out on monday morning. it turned out to be a Kennedy fibreglass van out of New Zealand Has anyone got some info on these??

Someone asked the question - What is Jailbarjuice? Answer - Human Dynamite! - and it must have been Schultzy who fell out of his chair because I don't remember falling out of my chair - in fact I don't remember too much at all for some reason - probably related to JBJ! ;D ;D Was a good weekend to meet people and put faces to names, and check out the caravans of course. This is what I found out about the VC'ers: Santa (eagle-eyes) may have sighted a new/old van in the area - time will tell. I think he has definately been bitten by the VC bug. EJ Ray and Leigh have offered to look at any vans interstate that anyone is interested in buying. JBJ can sleep anywhere after a few juices. The Schultzes are happy to park illegally in their teardrop if it helps a fellow VC'er. Earlee hates early mornings after JBjuice.

Hello non earlee one. I do believe it was you who ended up A over T on the ground after following Schultzy's lead in mixing JBJ and Schnapps. I am not supprised that you don"t remember this fact as you had had quite a few drinks. and it showed by the fact that you did not emerge from your little dark van until well into the arvo. All in all a top weekend and we can't wait to do it all again. PS:- Matt made deposit on the new vintage van today we should have it by next weekend and photos soon. And yes we can stand up in it ;D ;D ;D ;D ::)but I think I like the teardrop better. The Bakers
