Hi guys, the few of us in our hotrod club that have vans have been thinking of a weekend at the beach - possibly fingal? We have heard of a few places that have direct sites at the beach. Open to anyone - bear in mind we have 3 kids (10,8,6) so peaceful it won't be, but we all like a drink and good conversation. ( kids crash at 7.30!!) ;D and we are all into cars!! obviously!! Thought about April??? any ideas? any one interested?? Deb

Hey Deb
The EH wagon past the "blue Slip' inspection last week and the van is all but finished inside and out. i have sent some updated photos to mark to put up on the "Albums section" . I would be keen for a weekend away in April. Question is which "fingal" are you refering to?. We have a fingal Beach about an hour north of Newcastle at Port Stephens. I get the feeling there may be another Fingal further up the coast !!! Yes/No Reddo

Might try a sunliner vacation down the east coast. Sorry for the mix up..re fingal Cheers Deb (still waiting on delivery of 52!!!!) not patiently either.....hurry up TNT!

hey Deb,
getting back to the original idea - Fingal ( just south of the Qld border) sounds like a good location for all of us who cant get way south to Coledale. All we need is a date suitable for you, reddo, JBJ, rhoem, me, paul and all the others. What about a weekend in November?
sounds good earlee.

Welcome back JBJ Hope the hol was great. S'pose you're makin up for lost time brewin the juice again!!! If you haven't got your van ready by then, come in the jailbar and throw a tarp over her Or better still, maybe Humpty will lend/rent you a sunliner or woodie - just so you can practice!! So where are we talkin about going Fingal neaqr Coollangatta or Fingal Heads near Port Stephens?? Either sounds good to me. November would be great too - before all the rugrats start their holidays! Cheers Ray

Well JBJ - I am really disappointed you didnt have 6 spare minutes to drop in and say gidday and least check out my vans! I would love to sample the hooch-juice with you as well!! I think that the 19th November is a good date to have the inaugaural east coast get-together at Fingal for those who couldn't make it to Coledale. And I mean the Fingal near coolangatta! What do ya reckon ray? welcome all to Fingal earlee.

Hi Suzann & Schultzy - fancy letting some little thing like a wedding get in the way of restoring/building a VC - what a misplacement of priorities ;D ;D Weekend of the 19th November would be OK by me. Can we get enough starters for that date? ? I think any later than that would run into too many people's pre-Christmas celebrations etc. I feel you would want a minimum of half a dozen vans going to make it interesting, what do the others think? Cheers Ray

Hi Schultzy. I guess we'll let you off this time. Just don't do it again - get married that is. That excuse is only allowed once per member per lifetime ;D Any further takers for this date? Hands up now please!!! Ray

Hi all, great to hear about the planned trip for Fingal. We have just returned from two fabulous weeks at Mudjimba. Van park is great and across the road from the beach - little traffic and perfect for whale watching and three young children to meet new friends and give their parents a chance to catch up on some reading.
Maggie the Viscount has just been relocated to a friends house for a well earned break and some maintenance (she is finally going to get a paint job) so we will have to pass on Fingal, but will definitely try to make the next get to gether in the new year.

Ok you lot I am going to a vintage bike rally on the first weekend in November at Hat Head near South West Rocks. I was going to take the following week off work on annnual leave and do all the organising for the annual Hunter Valley Norton Owners club display day on Sunday 13/11. I am prepared to stall the week off until the weekend of the Fingal run and then take the following week off instead. Probably snip the Friday off as a RDO ( Rostered Day Off) to travel up with the FJ van and Just Croozn. So there ya go you Canetoads. An offer to have a "celebrity Guest Appearance " of one of the biggest drunks on the East Coast. Hurry, Hurry ... Book now to avoid disappointment ..... or.... just turn up and be really disappointed. Any other mid NSW coast locals prepared to travel up and meet our Redneck counterparts? Reddo - Not afraid to TELL the wife i am going . Warning : Disclaimer. The conditions of this offer are subject to change without notice due to Non understanding marraige partner.

Onya Reddo – that makes at least 4! Look for me in this van – with maybe a slightly different paint job. Earlee.
