Now here's something which I susptect Reddo will find vastly amusing, but I hope will be of interest to others. In the US of A people interested in vintage aluminium caravans refer to themselves as tin can tourists. (That's the bit to amuse Reddo.) Wonderful what you can find out from Wikipedia when you have an idle moment, though. ;D A website has been set up by an on-line Tin Can Tourist group, which has some interesting photos: www.tincantourists.com . Check out the Recreation page for members' photos, etc. Some of the vans look not unlike ours...and then some look like Airstreams! Judging by the website there is also a healthy trade in reproduction 50's vans like this one in the US: This reproduction van was built in 2001. Maybe Reddo was on the right track with his repro teardrop - just 50 years ahead of his time. ;D Now where was I...Chevrolets...Fords...oh, yes - I also came across a website for a Texan painter called Paige Bridges who specialises in painting landscapes featuring 'vintage trailers' and period towcars: www.vintagetraveltrailerart.com/VintageTravelTrailerArt.htmShe seems to have a thing for Chevrolets, but sometimes includes a Ford or two. Fire Fighter and other Chev fans will be in their element! Paige also does work on commission - send her a photo and she will paint it. Wonder how she'd go with the Aussie bush? Don Ricardo
