Now that the Ten days on the Island cultural festival has been launched (www.tendaysontheisland.com) I can say that they are using my Carapark as a publicity vehicle, the organisers paid to have it repolished and have had slip covers put on the upholstery, and a shorter table installed so that the dinette seats are more easily accessed. Robyn Archer turned up at the launch stepping out of the van and onto the dias in front of the local tassie press. It was also used in the christmas parade in Hobart. The Organisers are going to use the carapark next year to Do interviews in and have rented it forom us for 5 months. we had to go out and get a replacement camper trailer to use till then. I will sent some pics to GM to post here. This as wellas the five old vans being used as "portable art galleries" will stir up more interest about old vans in tassie for sure! Cheers Caraparker

That is interesting caraparker, it is a bigger deal than I thought. You could be right, at the end of the ten days, in April, the vans may be sold off at bargain prices although I get the impression that some of the people in Big hArt are actually old caravan nuts, so they may keep one or two for themselves.
