;D Hi there whoever hasnt gone on the Reddo run got my high density foam spats for the Kennedy mounted today here is some photos here is my newly fitted windows made from polycarbonate (no heat required to bend) took around 1 hour from o to go including the fluted finishing moulds any further info required email or post the cost was minimal considering the fibreglass option around 70% cheaper and look just as good and stronger Will

G’day WillandLyn, The polycarbonate is the bit I find interesting (spats are OK too ) “Driftwood” needs to have the cracked and crazed perspex windows, which have a slight horizontal curve, replaced. Polycarbonate looks like the way to go..... pleased I didn’t rush into replacing them... 10 years ago Cobber.

Gee Cobber, I thought you'd fallen off the site - haven't heard you say much of late Will, can you give me some more info on the high density foam and its durability against something like formply? The spats look great, and I will be needing to make new ones for the Wayfarer soon. Cheers Ray

Will, you're doing one heck of a job on this van! Looking like it was just off the showroom floor!! I assume you have bought a vintage Rolls Royce to tow this one around? I'll have to practice bowing from the waist so I can acknowledge you as you go past in the royal motorcade (hope you can throw a few scraps to us "plywood plebs" occasionally...) cheers, Al

;D Thanks for the replies guys on the kennedy it took a little time working out how to overcome the cost of the fibreglass plug and still getting that 50 s look The foam is used widely on exterior applications like mouldings on factories and buildings to create different finishes as well as fountains and loads of other applications once it is hardcoated it is extremely stong and lightweight yet cost effective for many applications It met my expectations and more because it was so easy to model and shape all I used was a precipition saw to cut the shape (electric key hole saw) and a sanding block from bunnings total cost for the spats $180. plus the spraycan and stickers another $50.00 all up if you go to Bunnings you must ask for premium polycarbonate other wise they will give you perspex which is useless to work with Hi geoff we have a huge labour shortage in WA at the moment because of this boom and I am a one man business and trying to keep up with the workload is a problem if I cant get a decent guy to help with my workload Lyn and I will have to fly and hire a car and chalet in SA we had plans of driving with you guys going to Mt Gambier and then to the not rod nationals in Tasmania which is one month unless I find a competent roofer in the next month or two we will have to execute plan two At least we will be there you would think you could find a bloke we have been advertising for 6 months and had two deadheads start and finish in a few weeks average weekly income around $1500 for five days and $300 a day for saturday and sunday anyone want a job Will
