Hey all, After trying for quite a while to find some info on our long time family caravan, I stumbled across your site (being the only one with photos anything like it) I am trying to get some info on it and find a repairer in Melbourne as its been in use since it was built until just last year, and needs some work
Photos for those at work...
Some of the damage over the beds
and around the edges

G'day anthology and welcome to the site. You are sure to get some answers to your questions as soon as the dust settles and people return from coledale if not sooner. Minicamper , the KB clan , donricardo and many others are down your way as far as local knowledge of repairers go so I am sure you will get some answers. regards Jennison
Jennison is correct, as far as distance is concerned, we'r ein the same State, but where?
As your photo's are on facebook and I'm at work I can't view them so don't know what condition its in (or what the van is for that matter)
I would expect however, that if its timber repairs, finding a person (in the trade) would not be easy. Many I've ocme across seem to think that new is better, so why bother. Probably have to find a retired tradesman or the like, or a close VV enthusiast to help. You wouldn't have a crack yourself?
hi harriet hear .have a go at it yourself because when finished the satisfation is great .Not knowing your sercumstanses i might be talking rubbish .i did not think i could do it but with help from this site i think i did a not to bad ajob .good luck hope you join us . happy v.ving.
I think it is mainly a case of replacing woodwork, but nothing structural. the two fold out sides need replacing, as the walls of them are pretty saggy, and the roofs have rotted in places, but i can probably manage that myself. the issue is a section of floor and small areas around the front and back corners which have rotted and need replacing. no idea how to go about this.
the van is in the eastern subs of Melbourne at the moment. luckily it's never not been registered so we can still tow it without any hassle...
